Loved our stay at the Golden Apartments!

We can't fault this place. If you want a bit of peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings this is the place. We stayed for 4 nights and Yiannis and Ileni couldn't have been more accomodating. Our room was spacious and functional, perfect for our family. I can heartily recommend the breakfast, Ileni makes the most delicious yoghurt and honey, I had it every day it was so good. The service is thoughtful and everything excellent customer service should be. If we ever go back to this part of Crete this will certainly be where we will stay. Rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The pool is also very clean. Even though it was peak season, it was quiet, no need to fight for a sunbed here. One thing you do need though is a car, the place is not right in town and unless you plan to eat all your meals onsite you'll need a car, bus or taxi to get around. We hired a car so I can't vouch for how accessible these are. Guests were mostly English and the hosts encourage a friendly atmosphere. Overall a great few days, I heartily recommend this place.

Ho alloggiato presso questo hotel questa estate; e' una struttura molto bella e molto pulita situata su una collina con una bellissima vista che è molto ben gestita da Helena e Yiannis i simpaticissimi proprietari sempre gentilissimi e disponibili a qualsiasi tipo d' informazione. Con la macchina si puo' raggiungere il centro in pochissimi minuti.

Trevligt hotell, god frukost, härlig pool och trädgård. Underbara ägare och väldigt barnvänligt. Liten bit från stan men enkelt att ta en taxi. Rekommenderas!

Een 2e thuis!

De eigenaren Yiannis en Eleni slagen er vanaf het eerste moment in om het je geweldig naar de zin te maken en je meteen thuis te laten voelen! Voeg daar een geweldig appartement met zeer uitgebreide inrichting en uitrusting, een heel mooi zwembad en een gezellige bar aan toe en de vakantie bij Golden Apartments is compleet. De locatie lijkt wat verder van Agios Nikolaos te liggen, maar binnen 20 minuten (door)lopen ben je in het stadje. Kortom een absoute aanrader!

De to som driver Golden Apartments er fantasktiske

Hotels.com hadde ikke registrert min bestilling, selv om jeg fikk bekreftelse på mail. Det var bare flaks at de hadde ett rom ledig. Det ligger også mange feile opplysninger om Golden Apartments. Eierne sier de har gitt bekskjed om dette, men det gjøres ingen endring. De mener dere blander Golden Apartment og Golden Hotels eller noe lignende. Golden Apartments har IKKE 14 restauranter, barer og 3 strandbarer, TV eller peis på rommet. Det er et nydelig drevet lite Gresk hotell.

tres bon sejour au golden appartement, accueil chaleureux, petit dejeuner tres bon, menage impeccable, piscine propre et grande, un peu de bruit à cause de la proximite de la route, pour aller à la plage et au centre ville 25 min à pied, possibilite de demander un taxis entre 5 à 6 euros la course pour le centre ou la plage, on garde un tres bon souvenir de notre séjour, a recommande.

Qualité prix imbattable

Très bon séjour sur Agios Nikolaos au Golden Apartments idéal pour découvrir la partie Est de l'Ile. Accueil impeccable, petit déjeuner copieux, Yiannis et Eleni sont très gentils et de bons conseils pour tout ce qui est visites et restos dans la ville en contre bas (à 2km). Les chambres sont grandes et confortables, ménage fait tous les jours ou tous les 2 jours. Seul hic la route qui passe non loin, un peu bruyante...

Lovely place, Lovely people, Lemon pie!

From their first warm welcome to their final goodbye, the owners Yiannis and Eleni looked after us like members of their own family. Our lasting memory of this holiday will be the friendliness and hospitality shown by these two wonderful people for whom nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in room 6 with fantastic views, plenty of room for a family of 4, and a spacious outdoor seating area on the balcony. The apartments are kept spotless, as are the grounds, bar, and swimming pool area by a dedicated cleaner who takes immense pride in her work. Yiannis and Eleni offer lovely food throughout the day, freshly prepared just for you, and are happy to discuss what you would like to eat. If Eleni offers you some of her lemon pie, make sure you have some as it is gorgeous, as is the moussaka, Greek salad, pork, chicken, etc. We spent a few days around the pool which has plenty of sunbeds, and also visited Almyros beach which is the closest beach, and is ideal for children as it has a large shallow area and is a sandy beach. Agios Nikolaos is a lovely town and a great location for us to explore the eastern side of the island. We will definitely go back to Agios and we will definitely stay at Golden Apartments with Yiannis and Eleni - hopefully sooner rather than later.

Huoneiden varustetaso oli hyvä.Hotellin omistajapariskunta huolehti asiakkaistaan suurella vieraanvaraisuudella.Ainoa moite täytyy sanoa hotellin sijainnista, joka hotels.com -sivuston karttaan oli merkitty aivan Agios Nikolaoksen keskustaan. Todellisuudessa hotelli sijaitsee muutaman kilometrin päässä keskustasta kaupungin ulkopuolella. Hotellin ympäristö oli kuitenkin erittäin rauhallinen syrjäisemmän sijainnin takia.

Greta service and nice view

Very nice view and nice people. We had a car so we didn't have problems with the location. I don't know how it works without a car but I noticed that some people walked to the beach. Check the address or GPS coordinates before you leave, they were wrong in the page when we went. The only minus is that the pool is very deep and it was not easy to help the children.

A wonderful palce to stay.

Golden Apartments is a well run, and extremely friendly hotel. With a pool and a cafe-bar on site that provides good, locally sourced, meals all day, you can happily spend all day relaxing here. It is also very well placed for using as a base to explore in every direction as this hotel is on the outskirts of Agios Nikolaos. As such, I would advise having your own transport to make the most of staying here although operators of pre-arranged tours will also collect you from the hotel. Parking can be a little cramped but the freedom to go where and when you want is well worth it. My mother and I had a two-room apartment (room 4) with a large kitchen/dining area which was complete with a fridge, toaster, kettle, cutlery/crockery and cooking utensils. It lacked only for washing up liquid and a dish cloth, but there are supermarkets within 1 mile to get your supplies. The bathroom was functional, with a short bath that was more suited to taking a shower than a soak. Whilst not top-marks in any single category I would still heartily recommend this hotel because of the experience and service overall.
