"This was the perfect getaway! The views were stunning! The water glistening off the morning sun was absolutely beautiful, while I drank my morning tea. The trees surrounding the lake put off a mountain feel. The outdoor areas were extremely relaxing! It was just what I needed to refresh and reset before the beginning of the year. The cabin was adorable! FYI the closest grocery store is about 25 miles away. Tim (host) was so kind! I plan to return with my daughter in 2027. Thank you Grand Lake for blessings me with amazing sunsets too!"

"In every place my family, friends, and I have ever stayed, we are out early on the last day. Except for this property. My god-grandson insisted we stay 3 more tomorrows. We all enjoyed the nice big yard, the fenced in dog area, and the gorgeous views of the water and wildlife, but no one more than him- and the swing had a lot to do with that. If you were in the area, you would have heard his laughter and excitement across the bay. My Merlin app was having a hard time keeping up with all the birds. I saw an Osprey catch a fish! Herons rested on the dock and in the yard! Every where we looked there was something fantastic to see. We'll bring the kayaks next time. The house easily accommodated our large group. It was amazing to have all all our kitchen needs met and to all be seated together at the same generous table. There were plenty of comfortable spots with plenty of privacy. The sprayer on the sink malfunctioned and the host replied within minutes. Do beware "dispatched" armadilloes are relocated to the beach for the vultures. It could be quite startling if you aren't expecting it, but also offers circle-of-life discussion opportunities and some interesting photos. 10 out of 10. Recommend!"

"If you are planning a grand lake golf getaway the Highlander house is a perfect choice. The location is very close two four great publicly accessible golf courses ( Shangri -La, The Battlefield, The Coves and Patricia Island) making it seamless to jump from course to course.I cannot emphasize how sparkling clean the property was when we arrived. The entire house has a very smart logical design perfect for vacationers. The kitchen is both beautiful and well furnished with everything you could possibly need.Beyond the location and interior, the setting is incredibly quiet and peaceful. We were even treated with some deer roaming by while enjoying the hot tub.To top it all off, the check-in process was flawlessly easy and the host does an excellent job communicating from start to finish. I highly recommend the Highlander house!"
