Sublime Tahiti Beach Retreat

"We received a delightful welcome by Ann, who speaks English well. The resort is in a gorgeous and central location, with a beautiful pool. However, do not expect any walkable amenities such as restaurants or grocery stores - you need transportation to do anything. The restaurant next door is currently only open for buffet lunch. Nevertheless, there are plenty of options within a 15 minute drive!"

"I stayed in the Kava bungalow which I thought was excellent. That said, the stairs to the loft where the main bed is are small and steep so something to keep in mind if you need to try to make it down to use the bathroom and back up in the dead of night. The grounds and the view are straight out of your favourite travel influencer’s TikTok, so that’s a highlight, for sure. And the food at the restaurant was great. The whole place is up a steep hill so it’s not really walking friendly but if you can afford to stay here you can likely afford a rental car to negate that."

"The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV. It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well. The pension is quite nice, super new, with excellent wifi, so I’d highly recommend it for sure."

"We stayed at Villa Moe for 10 days and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The house is beautiful and sits right on a private, peaceful, and safe beach where you can snorkel, swim in the warm water, or simply relax and enjoy the incredible surroundings. The bedrooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable, but our favorite feature was the terrace. It was the perfect place to enjoy our morning coffee while taking in the spectacular views and, in the evening, watching the most gorgeous sunsets. The location is ideal, with easy access to downtown Papeete, the ferries to Moorea, and other parts of Tahiti, including the beautiful presqu’île. It was the perfect home base for exploring the island while still providing a wonderful place to come back to and unwind. We would absolutely stay at Villa Moe again if we return to Tahiti. It truly felt like a special place, and we were sad to leave! And finally, a huge thank you to our wonderful host, Alban, who was so welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Alban, merci encore et qui sait, à bientôt !"

"The apartment was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was beautiful appointed. One could tell it was a family get- away! Assuming they have bug control as I was able to kill several roaches. We were exhausted after our cruise so just relaxed and enjoyed the Prime Video shows."

"This is a great property if you wish to explore the south side of the island, or if you have your own vehicle. Unfortunately it is NOT 2.5 miles from the airport or the cruise ship port. It is on the opposite side of the island, Depending on traffic, a 90 - 150 minute drive. $115 taxi drive. You can get a 3 day tourist bus pass for 1 franc (a bus ride is 4 francs) but the busses stop running at 4:00 local time. The closest grocery store (outstanding selection of fresh fruit & veggies, meats, and baked goods) or restaurant is 2.5 kilometers from Punatea Village. I would stay there again, but only if I had a rental vehicle."

"We enjoyed every bit of our stay here. The property was beautiful and we really appreciated being able to use the SUP and snorkel equipment. Great snorkeling right out the door! The host was very accommodating and responsive to any questions we had. We loved the open air common spaces, The bedroom layout worked perfect for our family and the A/C units in the 3 main bedrooms kept the sleeping temperatures very comfortable. We loved visiting the nearby park and beach and available food trucks next door. This was a perfect place to start our trip before traveling to other islands."

"Overall a nice place to stay with a few caveats. Easy check-in with the keys on the counter and quick response by email. We stayed in Aura where two rooms have AC and one does not - was not a problem for our stay. The third room has a fan. The rooms have plenty of open shelf space for clothes.The deck overlooking the lagoon and private pool were favorites. There was a nice breeze during our stay. Bring bug spray though (as with most places on island). It would have been nice to have hand towels and wash clothes, not just bath and beach towels. Also, some hooks in the bedroom to hang up towels or clothes. The shower has body wash and shampoo; some shelves for personal washing supplies would be helpful. There was a lot of roof noise one particular night from what we think were birds collecting seeds from the tree overhead. Our neighbors didn't have the same foilage so this may be specific to our Villa. It bothered some of us more than others, so if you are a light sleeper, the islands of Tahiti in general can be noisy with dogs, roosters and other wildlife. The WiFi worked well but we had to request the password. This proved difficulty since we had spotty personal service. There were chocolates left for us at check-in which was a nice welcome. Thank you for sharing your Villa with us."
