"Hi. We had an incident where the fire alarm was activated and requested to vacate the building. Being in room 616 right beside the fire escape stairwell both my wife and I proceeded down the stairs to the ground level where we found the fire escape door locked to hotel lobby , proceeded further down to lower ground level where the fire escape door was also found locked.We made our way to the hotel check in desk where we were told it was a false alarm. There was no PA made to this effect and I made the on duty staff aware that the ground level fire door was found locked. This should never be the case and these doors should be designed in such away that escape is always possible.
