We look forward to giving you a memorable and enjoyable stay and hope you enjoy the Valentine Lake experience as much as we do.

We had an absolutely wonderful week on Valentine Lake! We loved that everyone was able to have their own space, paddling on the pond, the thoughtful touches everywhere, and the location central to many sights in the Adirondacks.
We had a wonderful stay! House was lovely; beautiful lake view, plenty of sleeping space for family and well furnished common spaces. Should we find ourselves back in the area, we would definitely choose to stay here again!
We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. It is beautiful inside with plenty of space for our family. The waterfront is beautiful and my kids loved swimming, playing in the sand, and fishing. We also were able to canoe and kayak. The pond is quiet making it perfect for a true getaway. The hosts are friendly and very communicative, and the home is stocked with every thing you might need. This is our second time visiting and we are already trying to plan for next year!
We had a great stay here! The home is beautiful and we loved being right on the pond - took advantage of the kayaks, canoes, fishing poles and our kids swam every day. The home had everything you could imagine and we appreciated the extra touches. Our kids loved movie night with the projector.
Wonderful and stylish house. Nicely decorated. Beautiful views of lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and canoes. Caught fish. Whole family was happy. Ice cream at Crossroads store down the street.
The house was decorated so nicely and everyone had cozy beds. We were 30 min from Gore mountain. The teens all stayed in the basement and loved the huge screen to watch movies and play games. The adults had the main floor. We played cards, made dinner, and made a fire. It was perfect. The host responded very quickly to our one question about snow removal and all was great. I would come back again.
A cabin on Valentine has it all. Enjoy the perfect Adirondack getaway. A private setting minutes from the Lake George area. Your family and guests will enjoy access to canoeing, swimming, and fishing with direct access to Valentine lake. Enjoy campfire evenings with s’mores or take in the beautiful stars above. A cabin on Valentine offers the opportunity to create the perfect family memory. The cabin is warm, spacious, clean and has all that you will ever need. Communication with the host is excellent and any concerns were addressed to satisfaction. This was our second trip to the Cabin on Valentine and we will be returning.
The house was beautiful, beautifully furnished and decorated, and it was appointed with everything you'd need. It could be in a home decorating magazine (and maybe it has been!) The lake was clean, warm, and lots of canoes, boats, and kayaks to use. There were even q-tips, floss, and cotton balls in all of the bathrooms, as well as various skin care, shampoos, etc. You really don't need to pack anything but your clothes! This was one of the cleanest home rentals we have stayed in.
The only negatives were that I didn't receive information on how to get into the house and had to reach out at check in time. The owners did respond quickly, but it would have been a bonus to have it ahead of time. The other was that there was no real space for us all to hang out other than the kitchen. There were a lot of chairs, but most of the family commented they would have loved a couch to sprawl out on on the main floor rather than the chairs.
We can't say enough great things about this place and our stay! The property is beautiful, and the owners have gone to great lengths to make sure every detail is meticulously thought of. It's such a comfortable place with all of the amenities you'd want in the home. It would take too long to list everything, but we've booked alot of vacation rentals and have never seen such detailed attention. You'll have everything you need. The lake is beautiful and there's everything you'd ever want to enjoy the water. Sitting at the firepit every night with our grandkids roasting marshmallows and telling stories was certainly a highlight.
The true test of an owner's commitment to their guests is when things go sideways on a visit. And we had a moment during the week. A mammoth storm hit and caused one of the longest and most widespread power outages in the area has seen in years. Jessica kept in constant communication with us, following up with the power company and helping us to get their generator running, Heck, even her Dad stopped by to make sure we were ok. The incredible level of service and care to make sure we were ok, especially for something that was completely out of their control, was impressive.
What did it for me was when we were checking out and my adult son gave me a hug and in spite of all the weather and power challenges simply said to me, "best vacation ever"! And we were all in agreement with his statement.
You can't go wrong choosing this property for your stay!
I decided to book this cabin heavily based on the amazing reviews-all of which were accurate. Jess and Clay are very generous and certainly open up their home to you. We are well traveled and I was surprised more than once to see how trusting these owners are. They leave a stocked bar, coffee, tea, spices, pantry items. We brought all of our own alcohol-because we were certain the picture couldn’t be accurate in the listing but it was!! We also brought our own coffee and food, however it was so nice to know that if you needed anything, you could probably find it-down to WD-40! (We fixed some squeaking doors!!). One of our absolute favorites was the selection of kayaks, canoes and rowboat. In the shed there were plenty of extra chairs, life vests, fishing equipment, tubes, cornhole! Jess and Clay (and her parents!) were very responsive when we were all woken up the first day at 5am with a low battery smoke alarm. I gave it 4 stars for the following that we wish we knew: one of the reviews did point this out but clearly we missed it-on the main level inside, there is no comfortable solution for a large gathering-we really wished there was a couch or two so when all 8 of us wanted to be together we could. We spent as long as we could on the porch but the mosquitos ultimately brought us in-citronella candles would have helped!! The pond is murky toward the shore and tall seaweed up to the swim dock-if you go out a ways however it is clear! Overall-highly recommended!!!
Beautiful house in the Adirondacks on tranquil Valentine Pond. The perfect setting to get away from it all. We enjoyed meals on their large deck, drinks on the dock, and paddling on the calm waters of the pond. Hosts were especially accommodating and responsive. Could not recommend any more! Can’t wait to go back!
This was the most magical VRBO stay we've ever had. Perfect location, charming and beautiful cabin, with the best-equipped kitchen we've ever seen in a rental place. The hosts communicate seamlessly, and their generosity and attention to our needs made for a perfect weekend getaway.
Jessica and Clay,My family and I had a wonderful stay. You thought of everything and anticipated our every need.My grandchildren loved the pond, canoeing and fishing. It was wonderful seeing them so happy. My son, daughter and son in law are avid lovers of the outdoors and enjoyed themselves immensely. We would love to come back again next year.Be well and thank you again!!Kathy Joyce
Our family had an excellent stay! What a beautiful space with everything you might need. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions. At one point during our stay, we lost power for a few hours due to a storm; our hosts even called to find out when electricity would be restored. We made dinner with all of the provided flashlights and wonderful memories were made. It truly became a home away from home. Thank you, Jess and Clay! A! We already miss our time on Valentine Lake!
Great cabin. Very well appointed and organized. Everyone had a great time fishing, kayaking and rowboating. We hope to be back! The hosts are terrific!
This home is amazing. It is fully stocked with everything you need. The inside is immaculate with a classic ADK feel. The lake is beautiful with plenty of fish. There are lots of water toys available to use. We can't wait to return here again.
This house served as the perfect "home base" for a guys ski weekend at Gore. The mountain is about 30 min away, but a very easy drive. The house is meticulously maintained and is stocked with everything needed for an extremely comfortable stay. Jessica was an absolute pleasure to deal with and several of the guys are already thinking about bringing their families back for another trip.
Comfortable, family-friendly home for three generation family gathering — wonderful space for children and grownups alike; gorgeous setting. Completely stocked kitchen made meals easy; kayaks and docks provided hours of lake activities — swimming, fishing, relaxing, boating. Loons were magical; bird and wildlife a treat for all. Jessie was a responsive host — house includes many of her warmly welcoming touches for gurest, very appreciated by all of us (the kids especially appreciated the s’mores fixings). A+ experience, we loved our time at the house and exploring the area.
Jess is the best VRBO host I’ve ever had! So easy to communicate with Jess and she left such detailed instructions for the home and recommendations for food, groceries, restaurants and shopping. We fell in love the minute we stepped in her home! Such a beautiful cabin on Valentine Lake! Short drive to Gore Mountain. I would definitely book this home again! We made wonderful memories!
We all enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. It was easy to get to hikes, and activities. Valentine Pond was perfect for kayaking, and paddle boarding and just sitting and enjoying a cup of coffee while the sun rose. You have an adorable family of turtles that would come check me out every morning, while I sat on the dock. It was easy to get to the towns of Bolton and Lake George but far away enough to enjoy peace and solitude. We enjoyed listening to records and your play list (nice touch) while enjoying cool late afternoon breezes on the deck. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice surprise too. I could go on and on about all the things we lived about your home. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!
We had a terrific week week at the lake house! I found the property was everything the description said it would be and a little more. It's rained a lot for us, so very glad we had a nice house to hangout in to read, do puzzles, and watch movies. We fished every morning, even in the rain. On the sunny days the lake was great. My son spent hours jumping off the dock. The rain made the lake rise about 3 feet. The kayaks, row boats and canoes are in great shape and really a lot of fun to explore the lake. The fire pit right next to the lake is amazing too. Thank you Jessica and Clay!
By far, this was our very best VRBO experience to date. The house was lovely with thoughtful spaces and amenities. Our kids loved the lower level bunk rooms with full bathroom, Apple TV projector, and video games. The kitchen had everything one might need to cook as if at home. The bathrooms were wonderful with extra towels and toiletries. We enjoyed the record player, board games, jig-saw puzzles, yoga mats, and s’mores by the fire pit under the winter stars. Perhaps the very best aspect of this rental was the kind, generous, and thoughtful owner who had so much to offer. She was quick to respond to inquiries and questions and was willing to share so much extra - including music playlists and New Year’s Eve champagne. We would give this a 10 star rating if it was possible. Looking forward to returning in the future.
