Absolutely loved everything about this place! Room was lovely and the staff and the owner are very friendly. Highly recommend staying here and will be back in the future!

Really nice area to be in. The staff were very friendly even though we only know a little bit of German. The rooms were nice and reasonably big and there was plenty of parking even though they were quite busy. The breakfast buffet they served was great and they had enough of all the food for everyone.

Wonderful place!

Beautiful place to stay, spotlessly clean rooms, wonderful balcony overlooking mountain and countryside, birds singing and deer in garden every morning. Breakfast was above and beyond, it was delicious! Meats, fruits, cheeses, many breads, coffeecakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, wonderful! Beautiful dining room with a vuew if the gardens The owners were very nice, again above and beyond!

Great hotel.

Excellent hotel. Clean, easy parking, easy check in. Located at top of hill, nice view and quiet. Great breakfast. Internet worked well, very fast the first day, but not at all the second. This was not the hotel's fault. This is life in rural Germany after a heavy storm.

In great spot with beautiful surroundings and good parking. Let down by the bar and the hot tub both being closed throughout our 4 day stay. Hotel felt deserted.

Spontan Trip, immer wieder gern

Tolles Hotel. Frühstück war sehr gut & alles da was man sich wünscht. Zimmer war gut, einzig das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber.

Da die Unterkunft erst kürzlich den Besitzer gewechselt hat, wurden folgende Leistungen nicht angeboten: Fitnessraum, Massagen, kostenlose Fahrräder. Leider wurde auch das Zimmer nur sehr spärlich gereinigt. Aber ansonsten war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das Frühstück war super und auch das Abendessen war sehr gut. Wir bekamen auch ein Upgrade, weil wir zu dritt waren. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und hatte Alles was man braucht.

Trevligt boende med bra parkering. Hotellet ligger vackert och det tar bara några minuter att promenera ner till centrum. Mycket bra hotell om man ska besöka Nürbergring.

Recommended!

Nice hotel in a quiet area yet close to shops and restaurants (10min walk up and down a steep hill or a few minute drive). The hotel itself is nice and cozy. We had quite a standard sized room with a small balcony. Great amount of closet space, bathroom on the smaller size but good enough. Loved the breakfast!!! The hotel doesnt have a restaurant anymore but they do have a bar (food not recommended). They also have a sauna which is set to the standard of 80 degrees, but is actually only 60 degrees and you cannot throw water on the rocks because they are not hot enough. You might as well avoid the sauna. Nice hiking nearby. Service was absolutely wonderful. Would definitely stay again because the value is great!

Mooi verzorgd hotel in Adenau

Het hotelpersoneel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was bij aankomst kraaknet. Ondanks de nabijgelegen racebaan betekende dit geen overlast. Ruime parking. Klein nadeel was het ontbreken van een uitgebreid menukaart voor het avondeten. Het ontbijtbuffet daarentegen was zeer uitgebreid.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in ruhiger Umgebung

Oberhalb von Adenau gelegen, im Altbau etwas "altbacken", es gibt auch Zimmer im Neubau. Park- und Garagen-Plätze, Klasse für Motorradfahrer. Idealer Ort für Erkundung der Eifel und etwas Schnuppern am Nürburgring. Leider kein Restaurant mehr vorhanden, die kleine Abendkarte doch sehr klein gehalten. Im Ort (kleiner Fußmarsch) aber alle Möglichkeiten zum Abendessen da!

A little dated

Staff are really helpful and the breakfast is good. The rooms are tidy but a bit 1980's in furnishing plus the walls are paper thin so when somebody gets up early a few doors down you hear the shower being switched on and running. Unable to connect to the wi-fi on any device throughout my 3 day stay was disappointing. On the Expedia website it is advertised as Hotel Restaurant Landhaus Sonnenhof however the hotel is now effectively a bed and breakfast as the restaurant is not open on an evening, fortunately there are places to eat in Adenau about half a mile back down the road.
