Relaxing Stay in a lovely appartement in a beautiful location
The appartement was very complete and on a beautiful location with a stunning view on the mountains. The Burn family is very kind and we had some very interesting and nice conversations together. Please check the wooden creations made by mr. Burn, amazing! We also did numerous hikes in the vicinity, a very enjoyable place to spent our holiday. We surely think of going back in spring time. We recommend this property to anyone!!!

This is a perfect place for nature lovers with hiking trails outside the front door, brook just across the street and spectacular scenery. Having coffee on the patio from the best espresso machine ever, listenning to the birds was pure bliss. The apartment has all the modern amenities and the shower plays music what more could you ask for. I enjoyed making my meals, the kitchen is equipped with everything including a fondue pot. The bakery in town has the best pastries and fresh bread and there is a gourmet store just two doors downwith a selection of cheese that should not be missed. If it rains, the towns along the lake Thun are beautiful. Or you can just sit under the awning on the patio and watch the clouds dance among the mountains. Now I need to learn some German so I can tell Mr. & Mrs. Burn how much I enjoyed their garden all the flowers and their cat Kim. As I said, pure bliss.

Ultra modern appliances in a traditional Swiss farmhouse at base of spectacular mountains
Wonderful apartment for my wife and me. Ultra modern appliances and furniture in an old school Swiss farm house. Hiking trails just minutes away and easily accessed by bus or by car. Lovely hosts offered us plentiful kindness and assistance. Highly recommend!

absolute gem in the bernese mountains
Arriving: Google maps shows all Swiss roads as toll roads if you rent a car in Switzerland you don't have to worry as the required vignette is included (otherwise you buy it at the border for 40sfr). The address (#10) is falsely indicated by google. When you're in front of #8 continue a tiny bit and use the long driveway to get to the house. Shopping: Migros in Frutigen (you'll most likely drive by it on your way up) free parking Coop in Frutigen (the other predominant grocery chain in switzerland) Coop in Adelboden (has some souvenirs as well) Bags cost 30rp. keep them. Local must sees: 1. Cholerenschlucht (gorge) either hike there (total 2.5h) or drive there and you'll see a parking lot where you park and hike from there (approx. 1h) 2. Engstligenalp (short drive to the Talstation) Upper and lower falls are amazing. Pro tip: Take the gondola up and hike down (3h - medium challenge hike). You'll see both waterfalls. Swimming: Spietz has a very nice 'Badanlage' and is around 35min away. Accommodations: Absolutely beautifully renovated private part of an old farm house. Having a fondue on the deck was definitely a highlight of the trip. Super modern kitchen and a new washer/dryer are worth noting as well. One thing you might want to be aware of is not to leave the doors or Windows open as like any place with animals around there are many flies. (For the faint of heart I'd recommend a bug spray.) Ps: DEFINITELY STAYING THERE AGAIN.

Goede en schone vakantiewoning
We hebben een hele fijne week gehad in het verblijf. Wat niet op de foto's staat maar wel fijn is om te weten is dat er een 2 persoonsbank in staat om op te relaxen. Hoewel er geen huiskamer in zit hebben we deze niet gemist. Het enige wat we misten was een zonnescherm/parasol aangezien het bij ons best wel warm was op het terras. Verder zeker een aanrader!

Het uitzicht is fenomenaal
We konden in eerste instantie het huisje niet vinden, google brengt je naar een ander plekje. Huisje is geweldig, zo luxe, ruim en met fantastisch zicht op de bergen. Het ouder paar dat daar woont is aller aardigst en meneer is wel zo vakkundig met hout, heel mooi om zijn werkplaats te mogen zien.
