The property is dated and does not meet what I would describe as a 5 star hotel. The welcome to the property was poor, no welcome and the facilities were explained we were just given a handout to read. This can’t have just been our experience as we had to help a couple in the lift during our stay who couldn’t work out where to find their room number on the paper they had been handed. Bathroom facilities were poor, the toilet didn’t flush easily and the door was did not stay closed. They haven’t moved to large size shampoo, conditioner etc yet so from an environmental perspective they are behind. The small soap for hand washing is green and leave a terrible mess around the hand basin and when the bathroom was supposedly cleaned by house keeping this wasn’t actually cleaned so I’m dubious of how well they did clean the room. The bed was also only tucked in on the side you could see from the door and while this doesn’t worry me it does make me wonder how well they are actually servicing the room. Breakfast is poor, the person manning the omelette station is doing a great job but is run off their feet by the demand so the wait is long. On our third morning we decided to just skip the breakfast despite having paid for it as it just wasn’t up to scratch. The hotel location is good but I wouldn’t stay here again, there are better options near by.

Adelaide's Stamford Plaza is centrally located to most places ie: Adelaide Oval, Festival Centre, Sky City Casino, Central Markets and China Town etc. The Central Train station is 2mins away to hop on to a free Tram or Bus within the metro area. There are a few food places around which is convenient. There is a convenience store 30secs to the side of the hotel. An organised Tour bus will pic up from in front of the hotel and drop off, which is super convenient. Overall - very good.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Stamford. It is so close to the Adelaide Oval and walking distance to the city's main areas. While the hotel is a bit older now it was very clean and the staff super helpful. Would stay here again in the future

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, however the elevators were incredibly slow and you can hear the bathroom being used in the apartment next door, that is shower running, toilet flushing etc. It is a great location for dining, shopping and transport and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Easy walk to Rundell Mall and surrounds. Excellent room condition and amenities. (1514) Everything was in working order and the room was well appointed and spacious. Staff were all helpful and polite. Room was very well serviced during our stay. La Boca restaurant wait staff were not pleasant and we did not enjoy our dinner at this restaurant.

The best feature of this hotel is its location that’s really convenient to the festival centre. Great for the Adelaide Festival. The room was fine and spacious but the shower pressure was terrible.

Stamford plaza is a decent hotel with safety for all guests. Food is a bit expensive including breakfast food was too repetitive would be good to have other options of food such as pasta and sushi

The team are engaged & appear to take pride in their roles. Had to pay for parking, however it is city centre. Room to room sound proofing could be better. Good stay in the heart of the city.

Could not get hot water in the shower changed the room to find out door was missing in the shower as well bed craved in on one side drinks in the mini bar were frozen order chips at the bar did not come waited more than 49 min then waited 30 min to get refund this is a joke of a hotel would not rate it one star did grace

The mattress in our superior king room was very uncomfortable and so hard it felt like we sleep on the floor. The rooms air conditioning was going on and off obviously working on a thermostat but it was very noisy and hot in the room between the air conditioning running

A very central and nice property. Spacious and Clean rooms with a good view. Check in Procedures seem to be a bit onerous and slow in this day and age of fast check ins. But otherwise the stay was excellent. The hotel car park was full so we had to park in the one directly behind it, which was about a 5 min walk.

Good place to stay
The Hotel is very good, location great close to everything you need. The staff are friendly and helpful, room was great, spacious, but the bed was to soft, the shower was hard to control temperature even the cold water was warm you wasted water to wait for cold water to come so maintenance not checking.
