About this property
Tranquil oceanfront cottage on Wohoa Bay
If you’re dreaming of a quiet getaway on the coast of Maine, Sea Haven Cottage may be the answer you have been searching for. This quaint 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage is situated on scenic Kent Cove in Wohoa Bay and can accommodate up to 6 guests. The Sea Haven Cottage was completed in 2016 and is ready for guests to enjoy.
The open, airy design adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Situated at the very end of a road, Sea Haven allows you to truly relax and rejuvenate. This house combines simplicity and elegance under one roof.
The main level houses the open kitchen, dining area and living room with a wonderful deck that is accessed directly from this space. Windows across the front of the house let in the sunlight and also offer a great vantage point for looking out at the water. Also located on the main level is the master bedroom and full bathroom. The guest bedroom is a second floor loft area with 4 twin beds and is open to the living room and kitchen. It’s a wonderful spot for the children or grandchildren to call their own.
Sea Haven sits back from the shore by approximately 100 feet. Access to the beach and water is via a path that runs in front of the house. Once on the shore, launch your kayak and explore the Downeast shoreline. Spend a few hours seeing the storied Maine coast from a very unique vantage point. It’s an adventure that is waiting just for you.
If hiking is more your style, walk the Ingersoll trail which is just a short drive away in the village of South Addison. Or spend a few more minutes in the car and explore the Great Wass Island Preserve on Beals Island or the Petit Manan Wildlife Preserve in Steuben. There are many beautiful hikes to enjoy in Downeast Maine and the Sea Haven Cottage provides a wonderful home base for your adventures.
Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are certainly the biggest attraction to this neck of Maine. The Schoodic Peninsula is just 45 minutes away and Bar Harbor is a journey of 1.5 hours. Both areas are a must see while you are here. Spend time on the scenic rocky coastline, explore quaint fishing villages, take a boat tour to visit the puffins or see how lobster is caught, tour a local winery and sample their wares or enjoy some of Maine’s delicacies at some of the local eateries. Everything is within reach here.
Sea Haven Cottage offers the simpler side of vacationing in Maine. If you need to stay connected to folks at home or do some work while away, WiFi is provided at this property. There is also a Smart TV and DVD player, so you can either access your own Netflix, Amazon Prime or other streaming service or bring your own movies to watch. Otherwise, bring your favorite book and curl up and enjoy your down time. Play a board game or put together a puzzle to pass the evening away. Sit on the deck as the sun goes down and watch the stars come out. There are so many of life’s simple pleasures to be enjoyed.
Sea Haven rents on a Saturday to Saturday basis. This is a pet free (no pets allowed), non smoking property. Rental rates cover the rent plus a cleaning at the end of your stay. Additional fees include the Maine state lodging tax and a separate refundable $500.00 damage/security deposit.

We enjoyed the view and night skies. The house was perfect for our family of 4. It’s a great location to get away from crowds and noise. We enjoyed our stay very much.
the area is breathtaking! So very quiet and just what we needed. The only other person we saw all week was the neighbor, Joan, whom so graciously gave us some history about the land and surrounding area, a tour of Celia Piper's cottage and allowed us to enjoy her section on the private beach below the cottage. It was a week in paradise!!!
Excellent location with easy on the eye's ocean and island vistas. A great place to relax, read, contemplate the world, but hiking and kayaking are easily accessible - we took advantage of both exploring this uncrowded part of the Maine coast. The house is extremely comfortable and immaculate and contains everything you need to enjoy your stay. Great beds!
Lovey location. We kayaked around all the little islands off the property. High tide access is best though available at mid tide also. Acadia doesn't hold a candle to this area. We saw 12 people during the entire week.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean, comfortable, well appointed cottage. The lower deck and rocky coast of Kent Cove are a few steps down from the main deck. Lobster (and crabs) from Caler Cove couldn't be fresher. Several walking trails nearby, two within walking distance from Sea Haven Cottage. Its a beautiful area.
We enjoyed our stay at Sea Haven. The property was beautiful and clean. The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 with access to the beach on the property. Everything that was listed on the amenities were there and we had everything we needed. We used the cottage as a “home base” to travel to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Quoddy Light Head, and a few other locations within an hour drive. Communication with the property manager was great and we highly recommend this cozy cottage. We would love to come back again in the future.
I can’t say enough good things about this property. Our family of 4 was perfectly comfortable during our entire stay. It served as a great home base for a week of adventure in Maine. The shore is fantastic at low tide, and my kids couldn’t get enough of climbing rocks and finding shells, crabs, and shrimp.
No complaints, just be prepared for bugs and maybe bring a fan or two.
From the moment we turned into the driveway we knew this was a perfect place to stay. The cottage is perfectly located along the coast. We enjoyed the quietness with only the sounds of birds and actually be able to hear the tide go in and out. If you don't want the hype of Acadia and Bar Harbor, this is the place to be.
The cottage is set up beautifully with everything we needed. The deck on the cottage was the perfect place to have some coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. The lower smaller deck, closer to water was great to watch the birds, the lobster boats and the tide.
If we get the chance, we would definitely love to come back again!
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place with us!!

This newer cottage is a gem in a beautiful, rural part of the Maine coast. We are adding this to our short list of best vacation stays. The cottage is compact but extremely well designed. There was plenty of room for our group of 4 adults. Everything was very clean and tidy. We enjoyed taking the path down to the rocky shore line to search for sea glass and small shells. The view from the deck is beautiful, even if you don't have that wide open view of the ocean. However, there is another deck almost at the waters edge that is for your use, with 2 chairs to sit and enjoy the sea view! We had a small plumbing issue that was discovered on the first day. The owner is not local, but we immediately had response from her local support team. We would happily return to visit the area, with this cottage as our home base. There is only one neighbor and she is next door, but her home is not visible from the cottage. She was very friendly but also allowed us our privacy. If you want to know more about the area, she is a great resource! I would be content to bring my food for the week, and never leave the property!
I almost hesitate to write this review, because I would love to keep this location all to myself. But alas, I need to share my experience, so here I go!
The pre-trip, check-in, and communication while at the house was great. Becky, the manager, was very nice and even offered to help us find a local swimming area on her own time. I thought that spoke volumes of her dedication to her job and the property. The house was wonderfully decorated and the kitchen had just about everything we needed (except an air fryer which was on the list but we couldn’t find. We made due without it though.) My only complaint comes mostly just as a parent who really wants to be able to relax in the morning with my coffee without the kids waking up: the upstairs loft area is great for the kids to have their own space, but having it be open to the living area below makes early morning wake ups inevitable. If the loft was closed in (which really would make it safer, too), it would be absolutely perfect. The house sits overlooking the water and is probably one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in Maine. The next door neighbor is a true gem and made our stay feel just like home. She is a wealth of knowledge and all of us enjoyed visiting with her.
The area itself is quiet and peaceful with plenty to explore. Make sure to plan your meals for the week and stop at the store before you drive in- then you can just relax and enjoy all this property and area has to offer!
Our family had a wonderful time in northern Maine. Sea Haven was the perfect location for relaxation, a little adventuring, and lots of lobster. We spent hours on the rocky coast and crashed hard every night excited to wake up to another beautiful day and oh what a view!
My husband and I spent our anniversary week here at Sea Haven. The cottage was clean with all the amenities we could want. We spent a lot of time on the deck - the weather was perfect. We loved the privacy and solitude. Perfect place to renew and relax. Would definitely stay there again.Sharon and Steve
A very nice cottage tucked away by the water...fully stocked with anything you could ever need or want...basically new but a very interesting story behind it.
We had a beautiful, relaxing stay at Sea Haven Cottage. The house itself was immaculate, comfortable, and well-equipped. It was a perfect base from which to explore the trails at Ingersoll Preserve and at the town property by the Tibbett Island boat launch. We launched our kayaks from the lower dock area and loved paddling up into the cove, and around the islands in the bay. Most of all, we enjoyed sitting on the deck and reading and watching the birds and other wildlife (so many eagles!). The communication with the rental agents was friendly, clear, and helpful. This is one of our favorite rentals ever-- highly recommended!
Beautiful, comfortable, restful, quiet...We have vacationed in Maine for 45 years, and this is one of the nicest cottages we have rented. We hope to be back.
Sometimes when returning to a place one finds that the reality doesn't measure up to ones memory of that place. That didn't occur at Sea Haven. It was even more lovely than we remembered. We hope to return.
Sea Haven was exactly what my wife and I needed! The property was very quiet, clean, well equipped, and had the perfect location. Both Becky and Sue were quick to respond to questions and were very friendly. If you want solitude to get away from it all, and don't mind cooking your own meals (no restaurants in the immediate area), this is the place for you. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!
This home was accurately represented on the Vrbo website and the perfect rental for us. It is beautifully designed, situated above Kent Cove with a spectacular view and in a quiet part of Maine. Hard to find a tourist anywhere and the locals were very friendly. The house was clean, spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The deck has a beautiful ocean view and quality deck furniture. Fun to watch the tides change!

It was really nice, in spite of the fact that it rained every day we were there - a whole week! The only disappointing thing is that altho the cottage is on the water, you can hardly see the water because of all the trees. Other than that, it was awesome.
Get ready to put all your anxiety behind you for a week or two.
Enjoy deer on the yard, porcupines nearby, and only 1 lovely neighbor who is a wonderful person. No TV channels but streams well, but has good wifi.
South Addison is a special place, where the sheep and pigs graze on main street and there's no such thing as meeting another walker and not stopping to chat. The house is ideally located on a lovely piece of property where on the upper or lower decks you can watch the endlessly shifting sea life. The house is extremely well laid out and stocked and we quickly made ourselves at home. No moose sighted, though. Lots of hiking/walking trails nearby.
