"The listing doesn’t make it clear but this is a private room in a shared apartment with shared bathroom facility. It wasn’t a problem for me but it was a surprise, especially at this price. You also aren’t told that check-in is in a separate building (in this case down the street).
My room only had a small window opening onto the stairwell by the front door so it wasn’t always quiet. The apartment is on the third floor with an elevator featuring a sign saying don’t panic, elevator is slow.

"The room was clean and nice, bed was OK, but you share a bathroom with 5 other rooms and it seemed like it was always busy when I needed it. Parking not easy, but not impossible. Service was terrible. There is no automatic cleaning or replacement of linens you have to ask in writing, and it can only happen in the morning. The cleaning lady was INCREDIBLY rude. A smile or hello goes a long ways, but this woman seemed incapable of that."

"A Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommended!
We had a wonderful experience at the Nicolaus Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt safe and well taken care of. The free shuttle from the airport was a huge plus and made our arrival stress-free.
The room was spacious enough for our family, which was a pleasant surprise, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – we all slept so well. Even the little things were thoughtfully done – we absolutely loved the soap!
Now, the breakfast… hands down the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. There were so many choices, from fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes and local specialties – something for everyone, and everything was delicious.
We also appreciated that there were plenty of good food options just a short walk up the road, which made dining out super convenient.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend!"
"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this property. The pool area was very nice. The breakfast choices and service were excellent. There is a self serve laundry available to guest or you can opt for the hotel to provide laundry service which was reasonably priced. The reception staff ordered taxis for us to get into Bari which cost 12-15 euros. There was also public buses just outside which you could use. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "
"This is a very unique hotel. You need a car and it is a little tricky to find. It is located in a botanic garden. Breakfast in a greenhouse. The grounds are very large with multiple conference areas. Breakfast was cold stuff but adequate. It was like a buddest retreat. Very calming."
