"Traveling from the USA first time stay in Amsterdam. Staff was exceptional! Breakfast was truly amazing!! Parking was a little tricky with gate and did not know I had to pay per day. On website said self parking. AC/Heat unit did not work however gave us a fan, if it would have been warmer outside may have been a problem? Also did not know about the city tax per day - not a big deal and we understand. Overall experience very good - great location close to train station and some really good restaurants!!"

"The Lloyd Hoxton was great—beautiful design, helpful staff, and close to a tram that could take you to central station. For families, they even had a play area with mud kitchen! The breakfast buffet was delicious and good value for the cost. My room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and very nice. I do wish they offered a bathrobe and slippers for guests. The only real downsides to me were that the WIFI in my room wasn't as strong as I'd hope. For example, FaceTime calls were spotty. As a first-time visitor, I also found it a bit of a trek to get to some of the tourist attractions and wish I stayed more central (the other Hoxton was all booked up). I'd recommend staying at this location if it's not your first time in Amsterdam and you want to be in a less touristy area. Still, lovely hotel, helpful staff, and good value overall."

"Location was excellent for touring. Walking distance to most places of interest. In the city center but quieter and safer environment. Having an elevator a real plus! Check in staff very helpful and accommodating. Can rent umbrella in lobby by dispensing machine. I did not use the pre check in as Did not have English / Canada as choice but other English speaking countries listed. ie. English/ American"
