Very good staff - but rooms need some updating
The room needs some updating - but was clean. Windows didnt fit well - so wind whistled through them all night, so we found it hard to sleep. Staff were efficient and polite - and food was also good.

LOVELY LONG WEEKEND
Service and attitude of staff was outstandingly helpful, attentive and friendly, despite it being a fully booked long weekend. Room was comfortable, bathroom very nice. Evening dinner was tasty, freshly cooked and appetising No disappointments whatsoever. Staff deserve a bif thank you. Even the weather was nice. DMcG

Lovely welcoming staff
Hotel a little dated and lacking in real comfort. Only one comfy chair in room. No residents lounge, possibly due to Covid spacing. Bring your own shower gel as shampoo and soap only. Food in restaurant limited. Very disappointed as no fish dishes apart from fish and chips and scampi and chips. Beef pie very gristly. Vegetarian breakfast same as full Scottish, minus meat, no vegetarian sausages! Disappointing..Average food. Staff really great, absolutely made our stay , otherwise would only give two stars.

Te property was conveniently located for the ferry to Mull. The decor was rather tired. Although the bedroom was spacious the layout was odd as the TV was tucked away in a corner and could not be viewed from the bed or one armchair.

Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel in a fabulous part of the world. Had a room with a four poster bed (it wasn’t the most comfortable bed but I am very fussy) and large bathroom. Views were lovely, could see across to Mull in clear weather. Not the most modern/recent decor/decoration but would go back again, mostly because it’s in a perfect location for the remote Ardnamurchan area.

Chambre propre et confortable. Petit dejeuner tres bon. Établissement qui fait aussi restaurant. Pratique mais le vendredi le menu proposé n'est pas terrible (que de la friture). Dommage les repas des autres jours avaient l'air mieux.

A pearl in the westmost part of mainland Scotland
This is a very nice stay in an interesting part of western Scotland. The staff is very friendly, food is good, and the small village is worth a walk. The drawbacks, rather expensive and a long drive on single track roads to reach, is balanced by the ferry to Isle of Mull just some minutes away. Isle of Mull and Tobermory is certainly worth a visit or two.
