A pleasant surprise. This is the second time I have stayed here, and I will stay again. Both stays had me and my travelling companion in bright, well lit, airy rooms, with sitting room with TV, one time , and a small kitchen with dining table the second time. The AC works, the fridge works, the lamps at bedside work, ceiling fan works, bathroom clean, bathmat provided. Plenty of hot water for the shower. Bed linens clean and crisp. Floors clean.
The rooms are pretty, too, with nice furnishings, pretty curtains. The hallways have interesting paintings hanging on the walls, the floors in the hallways have pretty tile accents. The place has been thoughtfully decorated.
My only small issue is that in many instances, because of the layout of the buildings that make up the hotel, there are up and down stairways in the middle of a hall, only 3-4 steps, but not well lit, beautiful but slippery floor tiles, and no hand rails. With a newly installed knee replacement, this was a bit daunting. And the previous time I stayed, on my way out of Ghana to get my knee surgery, it was painful to go up and down these steps.
Last week, we arrived after the kitchen had closed, but my companion was able to order a nice chicken and vegetables dish with rice, and the staff took pity and brought it in a few minutes. And it was hot and delicious. Breakfast is great, ordered the night before and brought to the room as late as 11 AM, which is great for jet-lagged travellers.
