The pictures on the listing are exactly what we got, clean and lots of space for us as a family- we each had our favorite room of the house during the week. "The entry steps were not shoveled- only someone’s previous tracks were there to follow through the foot of snow. The heat downstairs was not sufficient- the main areas of the house were not able to be enjoyed as the temperature remained at about 60 degrees (f) the whole stay. Thank goodness we had good heat upstairs in the bedrooms. Host never responded to VRBO contact or the cell phone number that was given. There were no checkout instructions provided in the house or online by the host, so we did what we thought was best."

"Peter's Acadia cottage is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. A short scenic drive to anywhere on the island. I would recommend staying here if you are looking into spending time at Acadia but want your own little oasis Peter is a great host and so accommodating! 10/10!!"

"Absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin in Mt. Desert, which served as our home base for many Acadia adventures. Perfect location, views and vibes. Ended every day with a dip in the oversized hot tub overlooking the lake. If you’re in the area, I can’t imagine a more perfect location! And as a bonus, the hosts were beyond kind in returning multiple items we left behind. No hassle whatsoever. "
