"This has been our go-to spot in Ghana. It’s usually very good. This year, there were noticeable degradations. The eyehole in the room was missing and stuffed with tissue paper. The hook on the back of the bathroom door was broken off. There were no hand towels. Just one or two regular towels. Worse, at breakfast there were roaches crawling the wall and when the table linen was lifted, a roach crawled out. The waitress saw this but did not call a manager. As if this is a regular occurrence. The water was unavailable one night. We called using the room phone and got no answer. I had to call using an outside line to get a response. We do 40 to 50 room nights a year in Ghana. We may need to find a new hotel."
