This is the hotel to stay in Abu Simbel. It is nice resort and rooms are spacious. But, I booked a standard triple room that initially had 1 king bed. When I complained, I was put into a room that only had 2 twins instead of 3. Had an issue with dried blood on my duvet cover when I pulled covers back - the hotel responded promptly and replaced the cover revealing a urine stained duvet insert which was not replaced. Dinner buffet is expensive and food is alright. Included breakfast buffet is better. Staff for the most part is good. But, as sun was setting and people gathered around the edge of the pool and lakeside to watch the sunset and take pictures. A clueless staff member with a bug/insectside fogger comes walking down the path and fogging up the area chasing people away just as the sun is setting. As others have said, it is expensive because it is the only decent facility here. Front desk staff are good and arranged for reasonably priced transfers and guide.

This is probably the best option in Abu Simbel. A drawback is getting a taxi. You are better off arranging a guide with transportation if you are visiting alone, not in a group. The temples are close, but starting May temperatures creep over 40 degrees. Walking 20 min in scorching heat is not for everyone.

2 weeks later and the verdict is still out for me. The staff is very kind, the views are super, the rooms were clean and unique. Location is great with an easy safe walk to Abu Simbel's temples. It is virtually impossible to contact the hotel. I had sparrradic contact via the hotels.com chat site. We booked two triple for a family of 4--the only rooms they had left (every site had them sold out) for a whopping $800+ BUT when we arrived it was virtually empty with only a few other guests. We were put into doubles when we paid for triples. That felt like a bit of a money grab. But there really are not many other options in town. All said it is 100% worth being there where there are no crowds.

Great birthday stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. The entire staff was really friendly and accomodating, special mention to Yasser at the gift store, shukran! Our room was very comfortable, the pool area was great with a beautiful view of Lake Nasser, breakfast and dinner were delicious. Thank you so much for my birthday cake, song and dance, much appreciated! PS. Don't miss the Light & Sound show at Abu Simbel, magical!

Überteuert aber wunderschön.
Das Hotel ist wirklich sehr, sehr schön und sauber. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich. Die Dusche könnte etwas besser funktionieren. Das kalte Wasser ging am Anfang gar nicht und danach nur spärlich. Die einte Nachttischlampe war defekt. Für ein so teures Hotel erwarte ich eigentlich, dass alles einwandfrei läuft. Und auch wenn man in einem gehobenen Hotel ist, sehe ich nicht ein, warum die Preise für alles völlig überteuert sein müssen (für ägyptische Verhältnisse), vor allem das Abendbuffet. Kommt mir so vor, als ob der Gast einfach zusätzlich noch mehr ausgenommen werden soll. Trotzdem würde ich sofort wieder in dieses Hotel gehen, kann es nur empfehlen! Die Hauptgründe sind die nähe zum Abu Simbel Tempel (10 Minuten zu Fuss) und der Comfort.

Great hotel
Probably the best hotel in Abu Simbel. Highly recommend staying here instead of doing the daytrip from Aswan, which most people are doing. We had the temple to ourselves for 3 hours in the afternoon, after all the tourists left. Short walk from hotel. Very nice pool area.

Conditions particulières. Nous y sommes allés pendant le ramadan et le Covid, verdict nous étions les seuls clients de l'hôtel. Avantage, un grand calme. Inconvénients, cartes repas et boissons limitées, ainsi que le bar de la piscine fermé mais c'est compréhensible.

Как уже писали в разных отзывах, отель знавал лучшие времена. Расположение резорта на берегу озера, инфраструктура и вид из номера выше всяких похвал. Персонал очень внимательный и любезный, стараются всячески угодить. Но очевидно, средств на поддержание отеля не хватает, отсюда ощущение, что здесь ничто не менялось лет 20. Потихоньку все ветшает и имеет нежилой вид. Еда на ужин среднего качества, но все съедобно. На завтраке не хватает разнообразия. Несмотря на эти недостатки, если вы решили провести ночь в Абу Симбеле (а оно того стоит, потому что дает возможность посетить храмы в темное время суток, а затем на рассвете, когда основные толпы туристов уже уехали или ещё не приехали), то лучшего места, чтобы остановиться здесь вы не найдёте. С отсутствием альтернативы комфортного размещения в городке видимо связана явно завышенная цена на отель. Если бы она была в 2 раза ниже, то думаю, положительных отзывов было бы больше
