With many local hillsides to climb, including Skirrid, Sugar Loaf, and Blorenge (all within 10 miles) the area is perfect for lovers of the outdoors thanks to the summits’ panoramic views. Walkers can also join the Offa's Dyke footpath at Pandy (10 miles), where you can climb the Cat’s Back, a wonderful ridge on Black Hill. The national park offers plenty to see and do with attractions that include The Big Pit at Blaenavon (6 miles), Brecon Mountain Railway (22 miles) and Zip World Tower (30 miles). Abergavenny is just 3 miles away, and further west lies the quaint market town of Crickhowell (8 miles).

Upstairs, guests have the choice of three bedrooms, a master double bedroom with dressing room and ensuite bathroom with a large shower, a very spacious triple with a super-king-size bed and an additional single bed for children, and a cosy single room with 3ft x 5ft 6" bed. Serving the bedrooms, find a well-appointed family bathroom with a large, free-standing bath, separate shower and WC.

    Outside, the cottage is surrounded by gardens and views across the countryside. There is a seating area with table and chairs for al fresco dining, along with a storage area for bikes.
