Amazing hotel, friendly staff, i booked this hotel for my partners birthday as we had a gig at the music hall on aberdeen. Hotel was central to everywhere we were going and all within walking distance. Hotel staff were amazing and even met with a complimentary drink for my partners birthday very nice of the staff to do this and wish her a happy birthday was a lovely unexpected moment and nice to see they go over the top for their guests.

Room was fairly basic but clean and spacious. Bathroom showed signs of wear (rust on towel rail & around bath taps) but again was clean. Reception staff were friendly. Breakfast staff, less so. Breakfast options were fine.

We are a family of 3 including a toddler of 3 years old. We stayed for 2 nights. The 1st night was really bad experience. At about midnight we heard the door opposite ours constantly being slammed open and shut for every 5min or so. It looks like there were more than 6 men / young men in the room. This woke up my toddler. At about 4am, the smoke alarm has been set off. The moment we escaped our room the door opposite opened very gently with an overwhelming cigarette smell all over the door. We went back to our room at about 4.40am and just about 10min or so later the smoke alarm was set off again. I would have thought that the hotel policy would have screened through the number of maximum guests staying in a room.

Exceptional value I'd stayed in a "chain" hotel the night before in Edinburgh which was somewhat tired and bland The Copthorne was superb in comparison with friendly helpful staff and beautifully clean rooms The breakfast was lovely so I really can't find anything negative to say I will definitely stay again if I'm in Aberdeen

Copthorne Hotel is a pleasant hotel and clean, but it is time to initiate some improvements. Beds and pillows are needing replacement definitely. Furnishings in my room were adequate and in good condition, with only a small desk chair, or easy chair or chair for a second person. Dinner options are typical easy serve options, and breakfast offered very few choices. Staff is personable, and parking across the street in the ramp is a tad bit confusing, but not the responsibility of the hotel.

The Copthorne was serviceable and convenient for what brought me to Aberdeen. The rooms are small and uninspired, but viable and clean enough for a short term stay. The front desk person was sick when I checked in, which did not seem like the best post-pandemic greeting. Via minimal interaction, the other staff were fine.

All room doors slam shut. No chance of a lie-in in the morning due to the constant banging of doors in the corridor. Please fit dampers to the doors! The quality of the TV reception in the room is awful. Standard terestial TV channels all pixelating, many standard channels missing. This is the age of streaming and cable. No excuse for bad reception. Unfortunately, I've had this at various hotels in Aberdeen, and elsewhere in the UK.

Good central location, breakfast system needs atte

Rooms quite warm, but clean & comfy bed. Breakfast service was horrendous, 3/4 young staff on, didnt look like they had anyone managing them, they were run ragged due to the inefficiency of the kitchen (i presume) never were there ALL hot ingredients to choose a breakfast, either no bacon or eggs or beans or whatever else!! When they did produce something there was only a small amount at a time & obviously didnt last anytime as everyone was waiting!! These poor young staff were getting the brunt of the inefficiency of the kitchen. In saying that they couldnt even keep on top of the juices, cereals & milk on the fridge/cool station. The breakfast was served till 11am we were in at 9.10am, i counted 24 people at breakfast, i dread to think of the scenario of a full restaurant. Dont understand why the quantity 's werent larger when coming from kitchen to try & maintain a reasonable offer. Also need someone to manage breakfast staff so they have designated areas / jobs, instead of them all chasing their tails. Very disappointing end to our one night stay, has put us off from returning.

We enjoyed our stay at the Copthorne Hotel. Met by friendly staff and received an upgrade. Although early a room was ready so were able to get into our room. Everything was really fresh and clean. The bed was really comfy. Also had wifi and live football if wanted to watch which you don't often get. Breakfast was really fresh and nice tasty produce. Great choices.
