Alpen Resort & Spa Zermatt

"The Alpen Resort and Spa is such a great hidden gem! It’s not on any main strip in Zermatt which was great—it’s quiet and peaceful. Staff: Friendly and helpful from check-in to check out. The included shuttle pickup/drop off at the train station is a nice touch. Room: We had the family panorama room with Matterhorn view (note when reserving: mountain view is not necessarily Matterhorn view. Read the room descriptions carefully before booking. The room was very clean and well equipped. Spa/Pool: We absolutely loved the spa and pool. We used it every chance we could get. The teenagers enjoyed it as well. It’s better than the pictures on the website. There were hardly any guests using this area—we had it virtually to ourselves 90% of the time. Note: Access to the spa is included with your stay (as of June 2026) Food: Breakfast is from 7-11am. The breakfast buffet was included with our stay as well (as of June 2026). It was a well stocked breakfast buffet and you can order an omelet off of their menu. The omelet option is also included. “The Dude” restaurant has huge portions and nice selection. The pricing was slightly lower than comparable places. TLDR: Great stay and great value considering the included amenities!"

"Check-in and customer service on is not in the same building. We had to carry to our luggage up six or seven steps to reach the elevator and down the same set of stairs to check out. The room was very warm even though the heat was not turned on. We had to open the door to get cool air. Breakfast was good. House keeping was good. Staff responds was good."

"Perfect Location with Incredibly Friendly Staff! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Bahnhof! The location is unbeatable literally right across from the train station, which made traveling so easy. Despite being so central, I felt very safe, and it was just a short walk to plenty of great restaurants. The staff truly made the experience special. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and helpful from check-in to check-out. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Yes, the room was on the smaller side, but it was spotless and well-organized. The bed and bedding, however, were incredibly comfortable. If you’re looking for a convenient, safe, and cozy place with a personal touch, I highly recommend Hotel Bahnhof. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Amazing stay. We got an upgrade to a larger unit, which was super large. Breakfast was wonderful, staff was friendly and helpful. We have two way transfer from station to hotel with our luggages on check in and out dates. Location is quiet and peaceful and a few minutes walk to the centre of village"

"We had a room with balcony facing Matterhorn. It was mesmerizing to sit at the balcony and enjoy the changing faces of the Matterhorn at different times. We were blessed with good weather during our stay. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly ad efficient. I enjoyed my stay there thoroughly."
