Vreselijk, nooit meer!

Nog nooit zo'n slecht hotel gehad. Dikke laag stof, spinnenwebben mét spinnen op de slaapkamer en een smerig uitziende, zeer botte eigenaar. Stinkende handdoeken en ga maar door. Ergens anders ontbeten, wij durfden het hier niet aan.

Mauvais rapport qualité-prix

Il ne s'agit pas vraiment d'un hôtel, plutôt des chambres d'hôte dans un ancien hôtel. L'ensemble est vieillot. Mobilier, déco et équipements ont fait leur temps. Pas de paiement en ligne, ni par carte de crédit, obligation de payer en cash. Pas de wifi (il ne fonctionne pas). Malgré cela, les tarifs pratiqués sont les mêmes que ceux d'un hôtel*** de centre-ville.

Hotel Rudesheim ein Rhien

Rapport qualité prix c'est un bon compromis après les restaurants a Rudesheim ein Rhien il n'y en avait que deux ouvert sur la vingtaine qui existe ."Séjour hors saison" Sinon le soir il y a deux bar Sympa .LE gérant Ziggy est sympa l'ambiance est bonne.

It Worked for Me

The reason I rented this room was that I was looking for a reasonable price, close to Rudesheim and I could sleep and shower. The Rudesheim Wine Festival was on during my stay and that pushed up prices in Rudesheim and Bingen (across the Rhein). The room worked for me. Assmannshausen sits with the Rhine River bluffs on both sides so it is a very pretty string. There isn’ t much more about Assmannshausen for me. However it is only 3 minutes by train to Rudesheim and you can buy a daily ticket for just 4 euro. The room was outdated and generally clean but could usesome updating and finetune cleaning around the edges. Finally I could not get the Wifi to work for me- the manager (owner?)told me it was working for a family of four in the same building. For reference I was not in the hotel proper but in the guesthouse a bit down the street. The train main line runs near the building but it didn’t disturb my sleep. So it worked for excluding the Wifi issue.

16th Century Charm in Rhineland

This "Old House" oozes olde worlde charm and is a quite different experience from most hotels. We were in the annex just down the narrow cobbled street from the main hotel, and we did find the climb up to the fourth floor a bit challenging with the luggage. However, our room was very pleasant and comfortable, although we are not fans of the German custom of having one large and one very small square pillow. Herr and Frau Lippert spoke very little English which did create a few problems, but they tried to meet our needs - as regards wifi, not always with success. Parking in the garage was free - but tricky!

Better Than Expected

Our stay was better than expected, based on reviews we had read. We were given an early check in and free parking, which really made our visit. The room was dated, but spacious and comfortable. The hotel is very basic and you need to be prepared for slow / dead wifi, etc. in general, among other price points in Assmannshausen and Rudesheim, it is worth it.

Leider nicht dem Flair entsprechend.

Eigentlich beste Voraussetzungen da das Haus richtig schön ist. Die Zimmer von der Größe her o.k. leider ist die Einrichtung aus den 70er Jahren und somit trotz aller Sauberkeit müffelt und abgerockt ist. Die Bäder leider zu klein und auch nicht sauber bzw. schon sehr verschmutzt, nicht Staub sondern Ablagerungen über die Jahre hinweg. Für eine Nacht hat es gereicht, länger würden wir leider nicht bleiben wollen. Die Inhaber sehr nett und freundlich.

Beim 1. Versuch der Anmeldung wurden wir vor der Tür im Regen stehen gelassen , mit der Bemerkung die Anmeldung über Expedia sei nicht verbindlich. Erst als sich dann die Ehefrau des Gastwirts einschaltete, war es möglich einen Zimmerschlüssel zu erhalten. Das gleiche Drama erfolgte dann bei der Nachfrage nach einem Frühstück. Auch hier drängte sich der Eindruck auf, dass Gäste eher nicht erwünscht sind. Die Zimmer waren muffig, als seien sie über Monate nicht gelüftet und beheitzt worden. Die bereits älteren Gastwirte machten den Eindruck , als ob Gäste eher störend seien.

O atendimento foi complicado pois chegamos as 20:00h e o proprietário estava irritado (chegaram ao mesmo tempo outros 2 hóspedes). Apesar de ter feito a reserva pelo site, o proprietário diz não ter recebido a confirmação de reserva e que não constava nada no sistema. Precisei pagar os quartos novamente. Não foi agradável. Quando aos quartos, são bons apesar de simples.

Eine Zumutung

Jährlich übernachte ich in ca. 100 verschiedenen Hotels. So was habe ich noch nicht erlebt. Der offenbar angetrunkene "Gastwirt" war nicht nur pampig, sondern aggressiv. Zunächst sollte ich 5 Euro mehr bezahlen als gebucht. Dann gab es Diskussion, ob der Preis bereits abgebucht ist. Schließlich brachte man mich zum Zimmer. Der "Gastwirt rief hinterher "wenn dem noch was nicht passt, schmeiß ihn raus. Das Hotel ist entgegen den Angaben nicht in Rüdesheim, sondern für Rheinsteigwanderer ca. 10 km entfernt. Entgegen den Angaben gab es kein WLan im Zimmer, keine Zeitungen, und kein Mineralwasser. Der Restaurantbetrieb sei schon seit Jahren altersbedingt eingestellt. Der Fernseher lies sich nicht bedienen. Ich war müde habe mich nicht getraut, zu reklamieren. Wegen dem angedrohten Rauswurf und einer weiteren Hotelsuche.

Unsauber und unfreundlich

Ausstattung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Toilette schmutzig und nicht richtig verschraubt. Der Wirt ist auch nicht so der sympathieträger....

historic house hotel 6km away from rudesheim

Historic hotel in a very nice village but be aware that it is in a suburb of rudesheim and a couple of km away from the famous rudesheim. Once you get over that its a pleasant stay and would recommend it anyway. It was quiet the rooms we had were in the newer part of the building and were nice. There is a vineyard just at the back of the house

Chambre sombre, encombrée de mobilier inutile. Lavabo dans la chambre. Salle de douche étroite,avec WC, et non aérée. Pour un séjour de 2 nuits, le lit n'a pas été refait, les serviettes de toilette, humides, laissées par terre, n'ont pas été changées. Salle du petit-déjeuner sentant le renfermé, et jamais aérée. Patron pas très aimable.

Peaceful Accommodations

Very pleasant owners! Location was excellent and within walking distance to Rhine restaurants. On the quiet side of Rudesheim, we liked walking around town. Breakfast was quite good. We enjoyed chatting with the bilingual owners.

Durchreise

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und haben dieses Hotel für eine Übernachtung genutzt. Schönes altes Gebäude; nett hergerichtet. Es liegt in einer sehr engen Nebenstraße und verfügt über ein paar Einstellmöglichkeiten für Fahrzeuge in einer ca. 100m entfernten Garage. Bars und Restaurants sind nur wenige Meter entfernt. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt empfehlenswert.
