“Great Inexpensive Place to Stay”

The hotel was very convenient to the train station, and the breakfast was very nice --served hot as you came to be served and seated. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Most did not know English, but we were still able to communicate with those that were at the lobby desk if we needed something. There were stores close by to shop at also, and a great electronic shop within a block of the hotel, with dry goods on other floors--several floors in all to shop in, with drugstores and eating places all within the same block. Nice wide sidewalks to get the the JR station with escalator to get to the station level. A little distance to "downtown area" - but so much to see in between! We wanted to be close to Fussa, and was within 20 min.

Area recommendations

Tachikawa - It has several places in the area that are interesting, and able to take the JR Chuo line to other places within Tokyo in a fairly short time. Asakusa has a great boat ride tour on the Sumida River to see more of Tokyo that we enjoyed also. We explored a beautiful Japanese garden not far from the Kokubungi station, and very restful. There is so much to see that we couldn't begin to get it all in with just one week. If you want to do recreational games - Round 1 is a great place with 5 stories of gaming of all kinds -- there seemed to be several of these within the Tokyo area.

“Minnie Me Rooms”

Hotel room was listed as a double-this was a complete misrepresentation 1 adult could not fit in the room comfortably and for 2 normal sized adults it was impossible. There was not enough room to turn around, the bathroom was the size of a port a potty. We had claustrophobia the entire time we were in the room. It was AWFUL!

“Great for the price”

The proximity of the hotel to the Tachikawa Train Station was unbelievably convenient (90 second walk). The staff was ready with our room key and check in documents as soon as we walked in the door and check out was just as simple. The room was small (to be expected in Tokyo), but comfortable enough for two adults. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
