This was the best experience my wife and I have ever had at a B&B. Everything about it was wonderful. The host and hostess were very nice and accommodating. The food was excellent. The rooms were very nice and very well furnished and many amenities. Our bathroom had a jacuzzi and was very large. We will look forward to visiting again!!!

Great staff and cook

Mary and Bill work hard to ensure their guests are well taken care and all their needs are met. They provided excellent advice on nearby restaurants and attractions. We will be going back. Steph's breakfast's were tasty and filling.

Exceeded Expectations

I thought this would probably be a nice place, but it exceeded my expectations. The Mountain Mist is extremely comfortable, with a great communal living room and patio (with great views of the mountains). Our room was fantastic. It was large with a fireplace (we didn't try it) and chairs. It was more like a small suite. The bathroom was much larger than it appears on the website photos, with a shower that I wish we had at home. Bill and Mary are great hosts--extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great--close to downtown Waynesville with restaurants, a brew pub and shops. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about ten minutes, and it is one of the better parts of the Parkway. Dale's Wheels of Time Motorcycle Museum, which is worth a visit whether you are into motorcycles or not, is about 20 minutes away. We definitely plan to come back.

What Luxury B&B's are all about.

All aspects of our stay at "Brookside" were excellent. Some details: * Service: "C & D", the landladies, go above and beyond to make you feel at home and most welcome; and, to put you in the lap of luxury. * Scenery: Like to view the Smokies while drinking your coffee? You got it. * Spacious. Luxury means not crowded. Here, you have large guest rooms, good 'social distancing' in the breakfast room, large garden area, uncrowded parking. And, you do not walk far to reach anywhere on the grounds. * Amenities. How about a recliner or two in your room, just in case you need to watch TV while in this valley in the Smokies? * Breakfast. Hand-crafted by D (Dana). Better than breakfast served on LUXURY cruise liners. Want to personally thank B & D for this most excellent stay in Waynesville.

Two Thumbs Up!

Friendly and accommodating owners! Delicious breakfasts and afternoon baked treats. Our room, the Palm, was large and comfortable with a gas fireplace. An item of clothing was left behind which Carolyn and Dina are graciously dropping in the mail to us. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the back patio. Waynesville was made all the more charming due to our stay at the Mountain Mist Inn! Two thumbs up!

Relaxing escape

Carolyn and Dina are wonderful innkeepers. They made us feel welcome from the time we arrived. The inn is charming and spotless. The views of the mountains from the living room and backyard were stunning. Breakfast was also a real treat. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious, three-course homemade breakfast. The in-room massage helped us forget our troubles. The inn is conveniently located just a mile from downtown. We will definitely return!

Great B&B!

My wife and I had a long weekend and wanted to go somewhere quiet for a couple days. We found Brookside by chance and decided to stay there after reading some of the reviews. From the moment Carolyn called me to confirm our reservation, I was pretty sure I was going to like her. When Dina and Carolyn met us the day we arrived, I was positive I was going to love them. They're amazing hosts. My wife and I felt like we were talking to friends we'd known for years by the end of the weekend. Everything about Brookside is wonderful: the rooms are spacious, the house is cozy, and Dina makes an awesome breakfast while Carolyn serves up a lot of humor. We planned to get away for a weekend, but ended up making wonderful new friends. I highly recommend Brookside Mountain Mist Inn!

LOVE Brookside B&B

EXCELLENT in every way...The room was beautifully furnished, comfortable, cozy, just perfect. The bathroom was even more impressive...large tiled shower, Jacuzzi tub, a window view of the grounds. Very elegant. Carolyn and Dina are fun, talkative, caring hosts. Again, so very comfortable. We were only there two nights, but we will return. I would love to just relax and enjoy the patio, hammock, and bubbling fountain. The food...gourmet!! Wonderful, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Dietary needs were requested upon reserving a room...very helpful for many travelers. I have told all my friends, family that the best part of our getaway was staying at Brookside.

Wonderful Inn B&B

We have stayed multiple times at the Brookside Mountain Mist Inn. We always feel like family when we arrive and throughout the whole stay. The Inn is comfortable, cozy and exceptionally well maintained. Breakfast is always wonderful with delicious coffee tea and other soft drinks available before breakfast to enjoy on the outdoor patio or indoors looking out the many large windows overlooking the mountains. The Inn is always spotless. Dina and Carolyn are always fantastic Inn keepers and great to chat with during the stay. We look forward to our next visit with them and you should visit them too!

Our First B&B Stay

Wasn't at all what I was expecting.....it was more, much more. Carolyn and Dina for one are the nicest most attentive people you can find anywhere. The Inn is impeccably clean, open, the grounds worthy of bare footing, our room perfect for 5 nights. The patio view is almost like being in a cabin on the side of a mountain, the view is awesome. The breakfast part, oh well, Dina rocks your belly every morning with a 3 course breakfast that starts your day perfectly. One bonus thing, the people we met at the Inn were super nice and we enjoyed great conversations at breakfast and in the evening. It is a do over in my book! Carolyn and Dina, yes they are professional grade and they proved it! Go...you will be glad you did.
