9.4/10 Exceptional! (1,007 reviews)
We spent more than a week at this property in late April.
If you like walking in the city, this hotel has the perfect location to get anywhere with a healthy walk (not talking "around the corner" but something that will nicely get you over 10k steps/day) including the Central Park, Chelsea, Soho, East & West Village, etc. If you want to use the subway, the station is close-by. Cabs and app-based rides are abundant as well.
We were very happy with the housekeeping service, and the quality of the job they've done. Also with the very spacious room.
The restaurant was very convenient and offered excellent food & drink choices. The staff there, and elsewhere at the hotel was very helpful and friendly.
Couple of things that we did not like: (1) considering this is a 5* hotel, unless you use the "club lounge" (an offer was made at the check-in but I did not find it reasonable, and did not have the energy to negotiate after a 10-hr flight and a cab-ride from JFK), there is not much of a lobby-space where you can spend quality time, you can use the restaurant but they don't serve 24/7, and (2) we paid for one of the higher-grade rooms, a "deluxe, city-view", but not sure if we got one (yes, we had a view of a part of the city, but can't say it matched our past stays in NYC)... be sure to avoid a West facing room, if you can (once again, we were too tired to ask for a change-of-room after a long trip... hotel should've done that considering our long stay).
