"Les Alouettes was as described. A great chalet for two families of four with extra 2 beds on a mezzanine. It was a shortish walk to a button/T-bar lift/bus to gondola - we used hire car to go to car park nearer lifts as too far for children in ski-boots. "Very spacious, nice and clean property. We were a family group of 13 with 7 children and it was quite comfortable for us. We used 4 spacious bedrooms and there was a large loft as well with 10 single mattresses which we didn't use. "Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!"

"The chalet is very nice and typical for the neighbourhood. Everything you need is in there. There is a very nice view, we really enjoyed the terace for breakfast and diner. In between we explored the land of St. Bernhard. Terence sent us a very good explanation by forhand about everything and housekeeper Nicole was also very quick with her respons (we had one question)."

"The house was very cozey, and convenient location. However the communication between the hostes and I were poor. As I was only told as that we need to bring our own towels and linen for bedding after we had arrive and I asked where it was!!! Very inconvenient trying to find these items in a small town, let alone after 7pm also!! Other then that, it's a lovely place to stay!!"

"Attached to the thermal baths and Nordic Spa is super convenient (access included in hotel rate). Staff try really hard to make it a pleasant experience. The rooms are reasonably up to date, though the bathrooms are smallish, particularly the showers. Dining options are slightly limited with the onsite buffet and the nearby Chalet a la carte Swiss traditional food. The included breakfast was decent basic offering, not high end. Overall a very pleasant and convenient way to do the Bains. "
