The Hotel Monaco and Grand Canal was excellent in every way but as a gold member with VIP access I was very disappointed I did not get an upgrade.

Hotel Monaco is in a really great walkable location to everything in San Marco. Upon arriving the hotel looks beautiful and when we got to our room the suite looked amazing! BUT the one thing that took away leaving a perfect review was the bed. It was so uncomfortable the bed springs were poking us through the sheets in some areas. It’s such a let down sleeping on a bad mattress. Me and my wife’s backs were killing us throughout our stay. It doesn’t appear we lucked out with the one room with bad bed. We found a bunch of reviews where people complained about the same thing. I highly would not recommend this place if you are looking to get some good sleep!

Best Honeymoon Experience EVER
We spent our honeymoon here, and literally EVERYTHING the hotel did for us was perfect. Staff was so nice, honest and knowledgeable about anything we asked about. Our room was not only beautiful but exceedingly comfy. The service went above and beyond for our needs, WOW-ing us at every turn. We will be coming back for our next visit to Venice. Espectacular todo! El hotel y el staff. Mi recomendacion es. Sienpre quedarse al menos una noche en Venecia! Venecia es mucho mas bonita luego de que se van los turistas que van solo por el dia! Y si pueden quedarse en este hotel no olvidaran la visita a Venecia!!!

Best of Venice
After having stay at the Londra Palace on many occasions I found this gem that is perfectly located just couple of steps from St Mark square, very large and comfortable rooms with excellent service, if I had any recommendations it would be to have more choices on breakfast eggs. This will be my home on Venice from know on.

Beautiful updated but still classic property and rooms. Gorgeous guest room and bath, classic yet modern, pretty glass lamps, tile, fabric, artwork. Great location, easy to arrive with luggage from airport or train station, convenient to vaporetto stop, piazza St Marks, Doge palace, shopping. Great reception staff and concierge, always helpful with directions and friendly. Loved our stay!

Absolutely amazing! Great hotel, amazing smart staff, the best location, they even offered a courtesy trip to Murano for free. They even upgraded us. Hotel is a good combination of ancient building with modern renovation. Will definely be back, thank you!

Beautiful hotel. Great location. The rooms are clean and lovely. I had a wonderful room overlooking the Grand Canal. Everyday was a beautiful experience. The staff was lovely, professional and attentive. Love this hotel. Will stay again.

Hotel looked beautiful inside. The room was very small. Service staff was very friendly and professional. The restaurant was just so so and very expensive, including an $8 cover charge per person. A great buffet breakfast which should have been included with the very expensive room. They nickel and dime you to death. No worries, we would not return or recommend.

The hotel itself is stunning. Beautiful. Most of the staff were lovely. A few were a little rude. They offer a free boat ride to Murano. It was awful. Think a really awkward time share presentation. You are dropped off at a glass shop and they were rude to the point of bullying. We ended up buying a few earrings and bracelets and they overcharged us for them. I don’t recommend the free bit to Murano at all! It was a horrible experience. Over all, loved Venice. The room was stunning. The location fabulous. Just don’t do the free boat!!!

what a property! wow We only stayed 1 night.. during a 15 night euro trip. This hotel was 2nd best and tied with Park Hyatt Milan. Yes that good of service and location. Located within the high end stores and steps from the center square. Steps from the canal. Room decor was super unique old word but modern. Restroom was like a dream.. with great tub! 5 stars... we would stay again in a heart beat. No breakfast and restaurant on site is pricey and no kids options for food. But we would still give it 5 stars. Plenty of places to eat in Venice.

We went for the biennale to Venice. It was our first time in Monaco Hotel. We arrived early morning to the hotel, the room was ready and we checked in…. We have also been upgraded to a suite which was available…. The room was spacious and had nice and big bathroom. The location of the hotel is also very good, very close to San Marco, in the heart of nice shops…. The staff and service was also good. Next time we will again stay in hotel Monaco….

Poor value.
Rooms are tiny as are the beds. Beds uncomfortable. A bottle of water is 9 Euros! The staff are excellent and do their best. I found it poor value for money. Would rather spend more and get a decent room and sleep. Will not stay here again.
