"Small boutique style hotel on Venetian mainland"
A very enjoyable stay of 3 nights. The room was at the rear of the hotel and away from any road noise. Breakfast was fine as was the evening meal.

The hotel is located on the grand canal and is very close to many fine restaurants and shopping. The train station is just one bridge away. The included breakfast meals were outstanding.

"Great location"
The Hotel Papadopoli exceeded all expectations. Fabulous location, close to bus, train and cruise port, and yet just a 20-40 minute stroll to Rialto or St. Mark's. Easy access to water taxis or water buses, if that is what you prefer over walking. Our room was spacious, full, modern bathroom, and a small cozy balcony overlooking a busy little square and a canal. Yet our room was still quiet and peaceful! Breakfast buffet (included with my Expedia deal) was abundant. All staff was friendly and helpful!

"LOvely hotel in a great location on the Grand Cana"
We had a great stay at the Westin, Europa and Regina hotel in Venice. When making the booking I had made reference to celebrating our silver wedding anniversary while we were there. As a result the hotel upgraded us to a better room and provided Prosecco and strawberries in our room on the first night. The room was really lovely and very clean. A very enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend the hotel.

Hotel Rialto

"Full of charm"
Staff and location could not be better, hotel full of charm, would have preferred a canal front view but we had side window view but not in room long enough to warrant the extra payment, outside our door was the steps to the terrace which was great for people watch and relax with a drink.......... expect lots of walking and it is not a cheap destination to eat and drink, however back streets are more reasonable but we wanted to sit on the grand canal for the full experience. Well worth a visit and most definatly return to this hotel. Oh, do not do the same mistake as us, we paid for a vapporetto and told line 2, thats goes both ways and we did not realise this and ended up ging on the outside of venice with the cruise ships and nt down the grand canal where Hotel Roalto is only two stops....lol....but the experiece was magical and got our 7 euros worth as the ticket lasts an hour...

    Where to stay in Venice?

There are few experiences in the world that can beat staying in a great hotel in Venice. There is no other city like it and it guarantees to melt even the coldest of hearts on every visit; the feeling of cruising down the Grand Canal is simply priceless.

    The Floating City

One of the best things about Venice is that it’s the only place in the world where you can literally spend hours wandering around the winding streets, completely lost, without a care in the world! The city is made up of 118 islands linked by canals and bridges, making getting around by boat ideal and for a surprisingly modest fee you can take a vaporetto (waterbus) to anywhere you want to go. But if you’re in a romantic mood, no trip to Venice would be complete without a ride in gondola, with your own personal gondolier at the helm who may even sing a few lines from a Verdi opera, if you’re lucky!

All signs in Venice point to St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco), the hub and focal point of the city with its truly remarkable architecture and staggering numbers of pigeons (and tourists). St. Mark’s Basilica and Campanile (belltower) will take your breath away whereas the Doge’s Palace and Museums give you some idea of the wealth the Venetian State in times gone by. Other stops on the tourist trail, and must-sees for any visitor to Venice, are the Rialto Bridge (Ponte di Rialto) with its bustling market, the wonderful Academy Gallery (Galleria dell’Accademia) containing countless masterpieces from the world’s most renowned artists, and the fascinating glass works on the Island of Murano.

Finding a good hotel in Venice can seem daunting considering the huge number of accommodation options and visitors to the city. However, Expedia.com.au offers you peace of mind and does the hard work for you, with its large selection of high-quality and competitively priced hotels, that are fully bookable online, and the website is constantly updated with thousands of honest reviews left by genuine travellers.
