“Husa Reina Victoria - Very impressed, from Arizona”
While a bit tricky to find without a GPS, this hotel was a real winner. Most of the streets in this area are one-way and some that show as streets are pedestrian-only. Other than two Hiltons we stayed at on our recent trip to Spain, this was the best. Large room with sitting area and very comfortable beds. Bellman drove with me to the parking garage to make it easy to find. Nice restaurant and pretty well located to do the "walking tour" of old Valencia. Even had a bay window with nice views and interesting buildings opposite. I would recommend this one. And yes, the staff can communicate in English to a reasonable degree which is more than I can say for 2 other experiences we had; it made this stay much more enjoyable.
“City Location”
The hotel was clean and room size was good. The best reason to stay here is the location, if you want to be in the city area then it is an excellent choice.
“Only for the location and price”
Compared with other 4 star hotels on this trip, this felt like a 2 or 3 star. Shabby, worn down mattresses, dark rooms, thin walls that allowed lots of hallway/neighbor noice. Location was good and there was free wifi were the primary positives as well as the good deal/price we were able to lock in.
“Very central, handy to most things.”
Really only niggle things , no tissues in bathroom, Road works outside bedroom from side road, not Hotels fault but annoying at siesta time. Breakfast buffet substantil to start the day.
“Excellent location, great front desk staff”
This hotel was excellent with only one exception. Our first room was spacious and comfortable, however, the noise from the street was most annoying which is why I have a 3 for comfort otherwise that would be a 5 also. We asked to be moved and were graciously accommodated. We were shown the room first - yes, it was smaller and still comfortable. The street noise continued even though we were 2 floors higher up. We didn't think to use ear plugs (our problem). The location couldn't be better: a short walk from the train station and just a few blocks to the old city center. We could walk everywhere and when we couldn't the buses were right at our doorstep (part of the noise problem!). Would I stay there again, yes, would I have a good pair of ear plugs, yes. The front desk staff was always very friendly and helpful.
“Unimpressed and Disappointed”
The hotel was run-down and rooms were quite shabby. Service was non-existent. It was definitely not a four star hotel!
“Great Location”
this hotel is in a great location and most sights are accessible by foot. It is also very close to public transport if you want to go further afield such as the City of Arts and Science. The rooms are spacious and quiet and have been renovated. However, front desk is in a tiny dusty corner and it is not easy to find anyone at reception who speaks English.
