“Beautiful hotel.”

A beautiful hotel with great food and service. About 1/2 hour from Kowloon but there is a cheap, convenient and reliable bus service. The Gold Coast Hong Kong is an oasis of peace and luxury away from the busyness of the city.

“Gold Coast - Experience Hong Kong as if it were any other boring coastal town”

Not much to do out in this district... The day was dreary, so we couldn't even enjoy the small plot of beach that was reserved for this Hotel. I would imagine it might fill up fast on good days. Still, it was inconvenient to get into and out of this hotel for any night-life or sight seeing, so I would probably NOT stay here again... On a positive note, the rooms were large and spacious to the point that we weren't even sure what to do with the space. There weren't a plethora of table or surfaces to use in all that space, so it didn't really help organization much aside from just having a lot of room to walk around.

“Too many great reasons to stay there.....”

I normally stay in HK Island where most hotels price is too high and give you a tiny little room. You know it is small when you could sit on your bed and reach over to your laptop which is on the desk and watch news on TV all at a same time giving multi-tasking a new dimension. So when I decided to spend my weekend in HK during this business trip to China, I spent time searching for a hotel with spacious room and good price. Well, it turned out to be perfect. It is a bit out of the way. Most of my friends were shock because this suppose to be a weekend getaway for most HKers and they are right. I spent Saturday walking around walking and have lunch around the resort and marina where there are dozen of good restaurants then headed out to Central to have dinner with friends. A bit far...but what the heck. Most importantly, if you have a chance to stay there...please don't tell anyone about this place. We don't need too many people to find this place and ruin it for us.

Area recommendations
10 minutes walk to marina with restaurants, shops and a supermarket. There is a public beach right next to the hotel. If you are heading out to Kowloon or HK Island...take taxi (about 30HKD) to West Rail Station (about 8HKD). Keep in mind, this may take more than 1 hour. Taxi to airport is about 350HKD but shuttle bus is available starting around 9AM or so.

Getting there
When flying thru Shanghai and the flight attendants say you do not need to fill out the arrival and departure forms, do so anyway! Save your self time, fill them out on the plane.

“It's not close to the airport”

Very clear and shiny hotel. Not so close to the airport like was written in the information about this hotel on expedia.com However, it is very good hotel for staying 2-3 days. I will recommend it to my friends.

“Will definitely go back.”

It was a very nice experience to stay at the hotel. The room was very comfortable with a nice sea view. It was quiet and clean. The room size is very large by the Hong Kong standard for the price. The front desk staff was very helpful in response to my request for a quiet room. (Most of rooms in the hotel should be quiet except for the floors occupied by the tour groups from Mainland China.) The hotel appears to have nice facilities although I did not use any. The hotel is in a nice setting. It's a nice place to hang out but probably not terribly convenient for the shopping crowds.

Area recommendations
The cable car ride in the new territory over the airport and the Lantau Island is spectacular. Take metro to Tsing Yi station to access the cable car terminal.
Getting around
Bus 61M outside the hotel (across the street) will take you to Tsuen Wan MTR terminal, from where you can ride to anywhere in downtown. Alternatively, you can take the green cab to Tuen Men Town Center (about HK$25), then connect with light rail. There are plenty of other buses to various areas in downtown at the same station of Bus 61M. The hotel shuttle is fine to use if it fits your schedule. I found it too infrequent to be useful although the shuttle to the airport is a good one for solo traveler.
