“most laid back four star hotel”

This hotel is effectively a room only four star hotel with breakfast option and hot snacks available in the bar.It does not have a conventional restaurant with evening meal facilities. It is in a very quiet area of Den Hagg with very easy tram access to the city centre approx 10 minutes away. There are no waiters/waitresses,the Hotel appears to be run,and very effectively,by the receptionist and managerial staff only with the backup of cleaning staff. There is a wonderful (and cheap)restaurant within three minutes walk for evening meals which recommended by several memebers of the hotel staff ! There is none of the "pretentiousness",which we do not like anyway, that you can get with some four star hotels!

“Big rooms; need tram to get into centre”

We had twin rooms - a good size with decent seating areas. Hotel is a bit far from the city centre to walk (and certainly too far to walk to the stations with luggage) but tram routes within easy reach. Pleasant Italian restaurant in next street; pub with good meals in nearby square.

“Off the beaten path”

This hotel requires a short tram ride into the center of den Haag. If that is not a problem, it is a great place to stay. Free wireless in the lobby-bar-breakfast room area, not in the rooms.

“Good Quality”

A very nice hotel within easy reach of the city centre. Reasonably priced, staff all very pleasant and the rooms are comfortable.

“great location. good quality.”

The location of the hotel is pretty good. In a quite part of the city. Just off the bustle of the city centre. Everything is a 10-15 min tram ride away. Good choice for those who want to stay at a location equidistant from the beach & the city centre. The hotel is nice. Breakfast is good. No restaurant attached though. But many good restaurant in the vicinity.

“Great Find!”

We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. Room size was average for Europe. Would stay there again and would recommend to others.

“Perfect place to stay”

Hotel staff received me warmly after a long trip to NL. Large, comfortable, quiet, sunny room. Great price. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Delicious breakfast featured lots of fresh breads, rolls, croissants, yogurt, juices, coffee, farmer's ham, cheeses, and other traditional Dutch items. Conveniently located on tram line and close to government offices. The hotel will be improved by the completion of current renovations and addition of wireless internet access. I will stay here again.

“V. Good but a bit noisy”

Perfectly clean, comfortable and friendly. Only drawback: some rooms look out onto a street with trams running late and early. ask for room at back if you are sensitive to noise

“Good hotel - good location”

The Hampshire was a nice hotel to stay in during my two night business stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was varied and of a good standard. The room I was in had ample room. storage and a large bathroom. The hotel is to the west of the town centre, a short walkable distance away.
