“Best accommodation I've had in the Canaries”
Appartments were a good size and on two levels which kept the bedroom cooler (lower floor). Kitchen well equipped and clean. Staff extremely helpful and multilingual. All round a great holiday - would definitely go back.
“Very impressed”
Visited in October 2006. Did not expect much as we had read other reviews before we went - goes to show, don't believe all you read. Very large apartment, comfortably fitted 5 of us. Very clean. Only a few tiny ants but we were prepared for them. Maids very friendly and cleaned more often than we expected. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool, even though it was half-term holidays when we went. All areas around the hotel were cleaned very efficiently early morning. Reception staff helpful. Large balcony with plenty of seating for all 5. Large roof terrace with 5 sunbeds and gazebo with table and chairs to eat on roof if wanted. Lovely views from balcony and terrace. Walkable into town in half an hour. Set on a steep hill at the back of things but nice area. Average 7 euros for taxi fare and up the hill in two minutes. Recommend.
“Good views of the course”
We had a 2 bedroomed apartment that overlooked the golf course with fabulous views towards the sea also We were room onl but do know others were staying at the hotel with very competitive all inclusive packages Taxi were plentiful if you didn't fancy the 15 min walk into town
“Good hotel however has some problems”
This is in Basic a very good and nice resort to spend your vacation. There is great enviroment in the hotel. However we had some problems. First of all it is a family resort so lots of kids and a lot of mess around the pool. So i would not recommend it for couples who are looking for a quite vacations. Second, our room was located at the edge of the hotel so it was very noisy at the early morning hours. And the bathroom in the hotel kept flooded. The food was good and there was variety. However vegiterians dont have much to eat there.
“Good hotel for reasonable price”
The hotel was very clean and friendly. It offered a bus to the beach as it was a 30 minute walk. It offered nightly entertainment of ok quality. The all inclusive option looked very dissapointing so would recommend this as self catering only. There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool but would imagine that it would be packed in the summer. It is very slippery around the pool areas so flip flops are a must. There were lots of comments on other sites about the lack of security. We had no problem at all with this and used the hotel safe deposit box situated in the reception area (the ones in the room did not work). A supermarket is on site which offfered fresh bread every day, was well stocked and good value. There is no cash used at the hotel, your room key acts as a credit card so you must keep this safe.
“Good, clean, value for money, family friendly resport”
Just come back from 10 days at Gran Oasis. Very nice, clean appartments, very family friendlly...lots of kids. Evening entertainment every night - if you like that kind of thing. Personally it was a bit much and went on until 11.30 every night. The place is in the middle of nowhere so be prepared to get a cab (ranging from €5-€8 per trip into town) you can walk but its a good 20mins. Ants are a probelm! Do not leave any food out in the appartments as it will be swarming with ants. Dont think we would go back but would give it 4 out of 5.
“Very clean and comfortable”
The hotel was spotlessly clean, they had an army of cleaners, and the apartment we had was great. We paid a bit more to get a 2 bedroom apartment and it was well worth it. It was up at the top of the complex but there were ramps to walk up to avoid all the steps with the pushchair and it meant we had a wonderful view and a good big balcony to look at it from. The food wasn't great, although it was edible, the entertainment was cheesy but we didn't really bother with it anyway. The only real downside was that it was too far really from the town and the beach to be able to just walk.
