"Lovely property with character, well appointed, cosy, perfect for pets with secure back yard. Bakery goods and a handwritten note were a nice touch. The girls swam at Burrill Lake inlet most days with the dog, the boys surfed at Burrill beach, just a short walk away, perfect! Communication with Kevin was excellent, he couldn’t do enough to help, including a late check out which meant we could go for one last swim. Highly recommend!"

"The place took me back to younger years as a teenager, when my parents would rent a house near the beach. The renovations were great. Fully stocked with everything you needed. Thanks for all the spices! Love the sofas, and you had throws. The furnishing was amazing. The beach was so nice. I would definitely recommend highly and come back again."

It would be nice if there were some clothes storage space in the bunk room. Beach is beautiful and only a short walk away. I suggest you take most of your meals at the house."

"We chose to have a very quiet Xmas this year. Staying for 4 nights at Heron’s Rest was peaceful calm and serene. The surroundings and scenery are beautiful with the dam taking centre stage with lotus flowers bobbing and blooming. A glass of wine on the pontoon and watching our dog get control of her ‘Pontoon legs’ was very entertaining! We had everything we needed in the accommodation. The skyscraper loaf of bread was sublime. We would definitely return. Thanks again to our hosts."

"so frustrated that WOTIF and QUEST could not process the 1 room and not 2 rooms. Also nobody replied to messages from SUNDAY to WEDNESDAY I had to call Ziad the night manager about the 2 twin beds and NOT 2 rooms. NO REPLIES on wotif messages again and then after Ziad confirmed 1 room only at checkin they asked AGAIN about the second room. but wait - after she canceled the second room and we got a text about credit card and 1 room canceled - THEY TRIED IT ON AGAIN AT CHECKOUT about the second...
