“Dream of going back”
If you don't want the hustle and bustle of the Dutch side of the island, then Grand Case is for you. It's much more laid back but with excellent food and stunning beaches. Bleu Emeraude is gorgeous-you walk right through the gate and onto the beach where you can hang out on banana lounges, swim or even snorkel and see tropical fish. Grand Case is about 10 minutes stroll away along the beach. The apartment has everything you need and staff are very helpful. Our only nitpick would be that the mattress was extremely hard. We very much hope to go back to St Martin and will stay longer than 6 nights next time!
“Great Apartment in Grand Case”
Convenient location to walk to all the fantastic restaurants in Grand Case. Fantastic view of the water and Anguilla. The beach right by the hotel is pretty to look at but you can't really swim right in front of the hotel due to rocks. Walk down the beach and you can rent chairs (or order lunch and you get free chairs) from some of the restaurants further down. Some houses are a little shabby nearby but that's part of the charm of Grand Case - it's not too resorty. It is best to have a car though to get to the really great beaches (like Orient Bay and Galleon).
“New at Grand Case”
Recently built, this hotel adds to the offer in Grand Case. New, clean, nicely furnished and simple, has balcony with ocean view, just steps to the beach. Good parking, confortable bed and well equiped kitchen. For one interested in exploring Grand Case restaurants and activities at French side, this is a good choice. Hotel is calm, and I hope it better stays that way. If you want to be at the activity and party scene, this is not the choice. Good choice for couples seeking a relaxed time and enjoying the beach.
“Blue Emerald”
The single apartment we rented was accessed by elevator & on the top floor. It was modern and very light. All items were provided to cook a light meal. Access from the beach was good, you could walk to all restuarants, beach bars & food store. Access from the road side was not great, too many randomly parked cars forced walking in traffic. No point in renting a car as the only parking easily available in at the hotel!
“Excellent hotel”
Having read tons of reviews and not being able to settle on a hotel for our St. Martin vacation, my wife and I decided to go with Bleu Emeraude. We got to the hotel and it was exactly as advertised. The place was very clean and the service was excellent. If you are looking for a truly laid back vacation, this is the hotel for you. The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances, cutlery, plates, etc. Grand case beach is also excellent for snorkeling, especially right in front of the hotel. I would advise you to get an inexpensive snorkeling kit prior to your trip so that you can save some money on rental. Definitely worth it. There is US supermarket, pharmacy, corner store just up the road and there are tons of inexpensive restaurants around Grand Case. I would recommend renting a car (smallest possible, easier to park), best way to enjoy your trip. The hotel has basement parking. Thank you Xavier and Camille for the excellent service. Your hotel made us feel at home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back!
“Awesome !!”
This hotel was way better then I expected. Beautiful view from room, and the beach itself was awesome too. We could see some fishes when we did snorkelering. Actually we went many beaches though, that was the best one for us. Stuff are so kind and nice too. We had so good time at there.
“Fantastic "get away" you'll want to stay here!”
nov. 2011: Fantastic, just right, you'll want to stay here! The BleuEmeraude is on bustiling GrandCase Blvd. but once inside -it seems a world away. Especially when you begin to hear the calm waves of beautiful Grand Case Beach! You know you're in the right place! With just a staff of 4 -the hotel is run very efficientlly. Xavier andTessa were of great help. They are there only a few hrs. in the morning and afternoon. The Hotel has a European flavor and is well thought out. The rooms are exactlly as pictured. Clean and comfortable(bring 220 converter). The TV,ipod dock, and kitchenette are more than adequate. There is a small grocery and French Bakery within walking distance. An American style grocery just a short drive away. The restaurants in Grand Case truly make it the Gourmet Capitol of the Caribbean. Easy walk by sidewalk or beach. Enold's(favorite!) is the 1st one as you walk from the hotel.Great Creole food, mod. price, mix of locals and tourist.Evening dining-Le Ti Provencial. Talk of the Town for grilled lobster and ribs.Rent a sm. car. Empress was our choice-good prices and service-we'll use them again. From the hotel Orient Beach,Anse Marcel, Galion Beach and the ferry to Ilet Pinel are just minutes away. Stop by Andy and Cheryl's place on Orient beach for a Guavaberry Colada! Make a day trip to Philipsburg for some great duty free shopping. Don't forget to pass by the Guavaberry Hut for samples! Can't wait until the next visit!!!
“Great Time”
The place was stunning and the service was spectacular. It is within walking distance to fabulous restaurants and is directly on the beach. I stayed in the two bedroom suite and it was awesome.
