“Efficient and comfortable”
I stayed at the Rendezvous earlier this year when it was being renovated - having returned six months later I was amazed at the transformation. The lobby area is now a beautiful, glistening white space, much more airy and open than it was before. Rooms are a decent size (for Singapore - they aren't enormous); I stayed in a superior room which was quite sufficient for myself - would have felt a bit crowded for a couple. Bed was very comfortable, shower was brand new and good and powerful, didn't leak over the floor - which is something one shouldn't need to mention, but I've had lots of unsatisfactory plumbing experiences in the last few trips to Singapore. Check in and check out were both very quick. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the nearest MRT, and within walking distance of Orchard Road, so that's you covered for both shopping and transport. Room service seemed on the eye-watering side of expensive, but I think that's par for the course in this country; probably a good incentive to get out and explore the neighbourhood for somewhat cheaper food and beverages.
“nice location, friendly staff but uncomfortable bed”
Easy to get to location, close to 2 metro stops. Staff were friendly, but English did not seem like their primary language. Had an issue with my shower flooding and it took several minutes and multiple explanations so that the staff understood the situation. Room was small by US standards, but typical of Asia. Bathroom had one of the nice fancy toilets with the heated seat and bidet nozzle. Shower was nice with a wand and an over head rain head (though did have an issue with the drain being clogged initially). The bed however was atrocious. I like a firm mattress but this was almost like sleeping on the floor. This alone made me not able to recommend this hotel. Plus there are several hotels in the area that offer more services (free calls, drinks, breakfast, ect.) fro only slightly more money.
“Not Bad”

“near orchard road”
hotel was nice and the rooms were good. we needed to use the internet to check flights and there was no wifi in the rooms. you had to go to reception and pay to use their wifi for the whole day. the problem is that you had to stay in reception, it wouldnt work in the rooms. Who is going to stay in reception all day to use the internet? It was very inconvenient, especially with a baby. In this day and age there should be access to wifi in all rooms.
“Good location and staff”
Good location and nice staff, still a bit of construction going on but not in a disturbing way. Would stay here again.
“only one complaint”
The staff were wonderful and friendly and extremely helpful at all times. The facilities excellent. The hotel is very attractive and the rooms large and beautiful. One complaint only, the beds are way too hard. After 5 nights, it was annoying on the 4th and 5th nights. The first few nights we didnt notice as we were tired from activities and still slept well. The food is top quality. The location is superb, very easy to get around to everything. I would stay here again only, if the mattresses were replaced with softer ones.
“Excellent business hotel”
While the bed was very hard and the air conditioning hyperactive, this is a great business hotel, conveniently located, close to MRT, good breakfast buffet, friendly staff.
“Very Good Hotel”
Very good hotel undergoing updating, when completed should be even better. A little more colour in the foyer would help, very white at the moment. The club rooms were excellent and very modern, where as the club facilities (eg snacks and drinks) could be updated.
“Disappointed”
Couldn't believe so many things were wrong with our room. We paid extra to have access to the Club Lounge. We were given an upgrade to a corner room which initially we thought was great until the power kept cutting out. We couldn't use the phone as there was something wrong with it. The shower was too hot and not adjustable. These problems took 2 days to resolve. Eventually the shower couldn't be fixed and we were moved to a Suite where thankfuly there were no problems and was lovely. Also felt the staff were inflexible when my husband was not well.
“Food, internet, hot water - forget it”
I stayed 3 nights at the Rendezvous during a business trip. It's a beautiful building and the room was very nice. There are just three problems: 1. The dinner buffet lacked variety (particularly vegetables) and the breakfast buffet food was just plain disgusting. Sorry, just don't have another word for it. 2. The internet service in the room was very poor (slow connection speed) and also annoying in the sense that every time I woke my computer I had to log in again and go to the provider page. Pain in the neck. 3. You had to run the water for about 10 minutes before it got warm. I just don't have that kind of time to spend waiting to have a shave or shower.
