“Great location for business and finance.”

I tried this hotel as I was able to walk to the bank were I had business. Otherwise it's in a business district so not a great location for tourists. Super value for the business traveller who wants to be near the office centers.

Area recommendations

For business the M is great, otherwise I'd stay near the restaurant and shopping areas.

Other

If you love thoroughbred horse racing then go to Kranji racetrack, they race Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons only. Lot's of fun, and you set you're own budget for the visit.

“Clean and comfortable~”

M Hotel was clean and comfortable. One issue with check-out was that I was billed for food that I did not eat, this was however resolved.

“would stay again”

Surrounding neighborhood got a 3 only because the hotel is in business/office area, not a lot of restaurants, bars, things to do past business hours. Otherwise, everything else is awesome!! 2-3 min walk from metro station. Clean. Modern design hotel. Comfortable bed. Outdoor pool is great. Only neg comment is no free WiFi. Concierge was very helpful. Staff members always greet you with a smile. I definitely will go back again and strongly recommend to anyone traveling to Singapore.

Chinatown has a lot of restaurants. Definitely recommend Southern Ridge Walk. Sentosa is a must.

“Great location if you're in town for business. Good hotel but not exceptional.”

We booked this hotel mainly because it was one of the better deals for a triple-sharing room. Overall I'm satisfied with our stay. The room was large and roomy even with the extra bed. There's even a proper work desk and chair. The queen bed cushion was fairly hard and I don't mean just firm. Service and food were up to par. As for location, it's in the financial district and not near the sights. I did not realize this when we booked. Since we were a group, it was cost-effective to just take a cab everywhere versus taking the bus that stops just in front or the metro nearby.

Area recommendations

Check out Arab Street and its side streets. Best to go in the late afternoon so it's not so hot and the shops are still open. I've been to Singapore several times for holiday and this area does not look like your average Singapore neighborhood. More lively and colorful. Then have dinner at one of the cafes and restos there. We had kebab at Blu Jaz. There's live music too. We also went to the new artScience museum. Before going I had heard that the main exhibit area was not worth the door fee. Sadly it's true. Also, it turns out that some of the main floors are still under construction. That said, the temporary exhibits were super and made up for all else. Particularly impressive is the Van Gogh Alive exhibit. Really amazing. We spent most of our time there soaking it in.

“Ok for the price!”

On arrival, had to struggle with suitcases up stairs as Taxi driver had dropped us at the wrong entrance (Hotel has 2 entrances). One member of the Hotel staff finally helped after I sought him out & he proceeded to lecture the poor taxi driver as he pulled away. Main public areas all new & very pleasant - expected great things from the room! Room has had a make-over (clearly an older hotel with changes made) and nothing wrong with bed,etc.but felt a bit "tired". Bathroom had bath & separate shower which was great apart from the fact the shower cubicle was quite small & difficult to move in. Breakfast was interesting, choices limited for those who don't like asian food. Not very many shops nearby to browse however very close to the MRT and only a few stops from shopping complexes/food areas. Pool area very nicely done however limited number of chairs/sunloungers.
