“Purchase the Club Level Access”
Attended a conference. Good location by the river. recommend to purchase the club level access.
“Great Hotel-will return”
Enjoyed our stay, just out of the tourist area which was cooler and welcome but still within short taxi ride to everything, also the hotel shuttle was very handy.
“Amazing Staff all so friendly and helpful”
Great location and helpful staff
“Love the place, been there twice now and can't wait to get back.Executive Club is fantastic.”
We did a tour of Europa and wanted a comfortable Hotel in Singapore on the way in and on the way to home. Well the Executive Club room was all that, The Lounge was fabulous and the service and friendliness everywhere was uitstanding. Best place we ever stayed in and worth the extra money for Floor 29. Only comment, no chairs or seating in the Lobby while your waiting for tourbus or such like. This is a necessity for older people. Otherwise everything tops and A1. An elderly, handicapped couple from Australia.
“Quality hotel”
Friendly helpful staff, spotless hotel with spacious well appointed rooms. Range of food excellent. Excellent views from the dining area which overlooks the river. Good for walking along night or day, with access to riverboat taxis from the hotel.
“Going back there on our back to Australia in August”
Only one thing missing there and that is seating in the lobby for when you are waiting for tours etc., Especially when you are elderly.
“Brilliant Hotel not to be missed!”
The hotel was absolutely wonderful from check in to check out. We stayed on the executive floor and the lounge was fantastic with 2 hours of free drinking each night, which in Singapore is just about unheard of due to the cost of alcohol. The staff were fantastic and looked after us like royalty. The rooms were nice and clean and we could not fault the place, so will definately be back. We have been to Singapore many times and this hotel is the best one we have stayed in. Well done Copthorne, we'll see you again soon.
“Run down hotel in need of renovation”
After checking in, we waited for 10-15min for the bellhops to bring up our bags. When they failed to do so, I went downstairs to try and find our bags which were only found after another 10min by the conceirge after looking around everywhere. Our room was old and smelt funny/musty, carpet looked dirty and furniture very, very dated. Bed was clean enough and bathroom was good. To be honest I expected much better, and the stars/rating did not reflect the quality of our room at all. Our friend was staying in another room a few floors below ours in this same hotel and their room was much better - well ventilated, newly furnished and generally nicer. I think they paid more than us; but supposedly theirs was a standard room as well so maybe they just got lucky.
“Fantastic”
Fantastic hotel, well serviced, clean and good buffet breakfast. Staff very helpful. Room clean and well serviced. Good location less than 10 minute easy walk to Clarke Quay. Taxis at the door. Would reccomend this hotel.
“On the Singapore River - an old favourite or ours.”
We keep returning to the Grand Copthorne Waterfront (GCW) when we are in Singapore. This is a little unusual because when we travel we generally change hotels for a different experience. Its on the Singapore River and the walk from the GCW hotel through Clarke Quay, Robertson Quay and onto the area around the Fullerton Hotel captures some of the beauty of this place. If your a walker or jogger you can do the the circle back to the GCW. They have been refurbishing the rooms and are about half way through. When we checked in I asked for one of the refurbished rooms and none were available so they upgraded us to the Executive Floor without the extra privliges which was a bonus. We are on holidays so like a late breakfast outside beside the river ( though most guests like the cool inside) and the service has always been good. In fact for a fairly large property the service remains personal. Singapore shops do not start until around 10am and go late to 10pm. The GCW is only about a $10 singapore cab fare to Orchard Rd or the hotel has a courtesy bus as certain times. For us te river location makes up for being out of the city.
