“Fabulous 6-star Singapore hotel”

This was my first time in Singapore and what a fabulous city and hotel! The room was gorgeous with every possible amenity. I was greeted by an assortment of fruit and a Conrad stuffed animal. There's a 42" TV with awesome stereo sound and volume control in the bathroom -- they even keep the remote in a leather "wallet." Bed is extremely comfortable with big fluffy down pillows. If you don't like the pillows they have a pillow "menu" in the room with a choice of -- I kid you not -- over 10 different pillow types. Desk has stapler, paper clips, even a ruler. They've thought of everything you need ... and even plenty you don't need. Six stars? It really is. According to my cab driver there are five or so hotels that have been rated by the Singapore government as six star. He rattled them off by heart. And the amazing thing is that the price was really reasonable compared to others. I'm not sure why it was such a good price. The location isn't right on Orchard Ave like many of the others, but it's still super convenient with awesome views out toward the harbor. It's walkable to most areas if you can bear the heat & humidity;otherwise, cabs are so cheap in Singapore, it's super easy to get around. Oh, and by the way, the service was impeccable, friendly and courteous. This is truly one of my favorite in-city hotels!

Area recommendations

Botanical Gardens are a real treat. Food in Singapore is unreal. Make sure to try the Chili Crab and the Pepper Crab ... the most important debate is which one is better!

Get a drink at the 70th floor of the Swissotel for an amazing view of the harbor, Marina Bay Sands Casino Hotel, etc...

“Highly recommended!”

This wasmy first visit to Singapore and my wife was returning after 25 years. We were made to feel very welcome by staff at Conrad and our room was very comfortable. I would highly recommend the Conrad to family and friends. Trevor and Sandra.

Area recommendations

We loved shopping at Suntec as it was so convenient to our hotel. We enjoyed a day at Universal Studios and Sentosa Island, returning home by cable car which topped off a fun day. We recommend eating with the 'locals' at venues like China Town and Little India.

“Magnificent hotel. Would definitely go back.”

Superb hotel. Definitely 5 star. Would recommend it to anyone. It is worth going to Singapore just to stay at this hotel! We were treat like royalty. The breakfast was worth the money too. Food so fresh, and so much variety. The pool area was wonderful, but the water was freezing, which was a bit disappointing. You would expect the water to be warm on the equator (it was warm at our hotel in Langkawi), so we came to the conclusion that they must chill it, maybe to keep it cleaner. Hotel is in a good location, as the Promenade subway station is only a very short walk. We had a spectacular view of Circular Quay from our window. The hotel is in the Marina business district, so it is not quite as hectic as the Orchard St (shopping district) location. but is still close to a huge shopping centre, restaurants, and the Singapore Flyer. The only faults I can say it had was that there was no hairdryer or iron in the room, but I think you can ask to borrow a hairdryer. Also when we booked it on the net, I got the impression that the room had 1 double and 1 single bed. The single bed turned out to be a rollaway which was disappointing, but it was an extremely comfortable rollaway. It is just good to be aware of this if there are 3 adults sharing one room. Would still recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone and can't wait to go back!

The hotel is in the Marina business district, so it is not quite as hectic as the Orchard St (shopping district) location. but is still close to a huge shopping centre, restaurants, and the Singapore Flyer. Circular Quay is also fairly close. I would recommend this location if you don't want the hustle and bustle of Orchard St, yet still want to be close to many of Singapore's attractions, shops, restaurants and public transportation.

“WOW could not have asked for more”

The Conrad was brilliant. The staff went out of their way to accomodate your every wish. We had the turn down service in our roon every evening so when we came back from being out water was next to the beds, slippers out next to the bed and the fruit bowl was replenished. Close to Suntec, the Singapore Eye, Marina Bay Sands Casino and theatres. Shops and restaurants all around. MRT a short stroll and buses out the front. Fabulous I would stay there again in a heart beat. Thanks Expdia for the recommendation.

“excellent stay”

Fantastic hotel - service was sensational. On 2nd honeymoon and received free upgrade, wine and chocolates. Easy walk to all the waterfront attractions.

“Great spot, I'd stay here again!”

Recently stayed at the Conrad during Easter 2011 (4 nights) & was certainly a pleasuralbe experience. Next to no wait during check-in, being escorted to your room by Reception staff. Stayed in a standard studio suite, it was HUGE, 46" LCD TV, DVD & audio system, it was like being at home! Apart from needing a step ladder to get into bed everything was great although the bed was a little FIRM on the first night. :-)) Can't comment on Oscar's restaurant as we did not eat there, no reason just didn't make it as there are so many other options. Great location, great facilities.
