I regretted booking this hotel. The room had a moldy smell. It's probably because theres no windows and no ventilation. It was more like a basement. The only positive aspects are the location and the guy at the reception who is very friendly and helpful.

Low quality, unclean budget hotel
Location- amazing, Sinchon is a center of activities. With shopping, restaurants and nightlife for all. Hongdae is a short walk away and with the metro station, the whole city is within easy reach. Room- the official pictures to advertise the room are slightly misleading. The size of the room is accurate to show that it is a small room. However, the lack of cleanliness is can not be overstated. There was mold in the room and bathroom which they tried to cover up with foam wall paper. The first room I was assigned smelled of smoke. And after requesting a different room, it had a smell of mildew. Additionally, the walls are thin. So you can hear the other visitors on the same floor walking and talking. Lastly, this hotel can be rented by the hour and used as a “Love hotel.” Staff- unwelcoming, and nonchalant. Understandingly, they were probably college kids, but there seemed not to know of customer service. Overall, This is a budget hotel. I would not recommend this to anyone. The cheaper and cleaner alternative would be to find a jimjilbang (a local spa house).

Unfortunately this was the worst hotel I've stayed in many years. Budget should not mean dirty. Mold in bathroom shower, no hot water the day we left. Bed linen was ok but room felt like it is never cleaned. Couldn't wait to leave. Only positive is good location and reception was kind.

I still got a shock you could put it on your list!
your compony does not realized why I had to move the hotel at midnight in the havey raining with two big luggage after I spent over one hour after airport bus and $80 only for the taxi cap to find the hotel. The adress didn't work on the navigation or google map. The taxi driver called the hotel but the receptionist didn't know how to get there. The driver drove around the address over and over and he stopped the car twice to ask the people. It was behind developing construction building and there was no road to get in. When I finally got there it was unbelievable things in front me. There are mold and rotten carpets over the stairs and mold smalls came out from the entrance door. After she showed me the room which had no light bathroom I asked refund. She put me on the phone and the owner agreeed to full refund I sent Expedia three room pictures right away and left for another hotel near by. Do you need more to explain to ask full refund including your service charge? I am still in Seoul. I am going to work with Expedia.

Our Worst Hotel Stay
We checked in and out in an hour. We were unable to stay in these conditions. The room is covered in mold, all over. The smell was overwhelming and dominated the room. Our lungs couldn't take it. The towels provided were stained all over. Also there were bug traps visible in the halls and rooms. Overall not worth it, even for the budget cost.

Disgustingly Gross! Don't Stay Here!
My wife and I have traveled nonstop for 3-years. We've stayed in hostels, tents, guesthouses, the works. We've lived in dirt villages and 3rd world countries. That said, this was by far the most disgusting place we have ever stayed. The bathroom was so rusted and awful that my wife held it until we got to the train station. SHE WAITED TO USE THE RESTROOM AT THE TRAIN STATION BECAUSE OUR HOTEL RESTROOM WAS SO DISGUSTING! And it was beyond cleaning disgusting. Like, it needed to be completely gutted. We had rented a very clean and modern apartment for our week long stay in Seoul and just needed an extra night before catching our flight, so I booked this hotel thinking it would be a great place to just sleep. These pictures are beyond deceiving. This place is a dump, located in a back alley. It was so gross that we decided not to sleep in the room. I've never been so disappointed and disgusted by a hotel room in my life. I'm only writing this scathing review because I wish someone before me had, so that I did not stay there. I meant to take photos, but I honestly couldn't bring myself to open that bathroom door again. I just wanted to get out of there.

This place should be called a hotel.
This room was really small, the walls had told, the bathroom also. It smelled horrible since the moment you get into the room. Was not worth the 45 Korean won I payed for one night. The room heating was abysmal. I still had about 20 minutes left before check out and a guy comes to my door as I'm getting ready to leave saying I have to check out right now.

Great Location
Stayed one night. The hotel is a three minutes walk from Sinchon Station. Sinchon Station is just one stop from Hongik University Station. Hongik University is one of the main college areas, so there are a lot of restaurants and bars. The hotel is pretty plain, but comfortable and clean. Also very affordable for a private room. Would definitely recommend.

You can find a better hotel for the price
I think that you can definitely find a better hotel to stay at if you're in Seoul for a vacation. We stayed one night at Ws Sinchon. I had a really hard time finding the hotel as it was quite inconspicuous, despite a huge sign noting its presence, and hidden in an alleyway. In the room, there were no shower slippers which deterred us from even using the shower, since it looked a little dirty. We were extremely thankful we had only booked the hotel for one night. That said, if you're looking to hang out in Sinchon - it is quite a lovely neighbourhood - you might want to consider this hotel, though keep in mind that it's difficult to find the actual building.

Toilet build for very small persons, the toilet is the shower. Moldy, ugly joints. The only positive thing was the bed. It was very comfortable. Hotel Staff is sometimes willing, sometimes unwilling to help in case of questions to the surrounding area.

This hotel is actually OK...if you can get one of the rooms on the second floor. Alas, I stayed in the basement this time around and it wasn't a pleasant experience. The room was pretty dirty, and had a lot of bugs in it. Most of them were small nuisances, save for one really big cockroach that just kept coming back into the room. The hotel does have a lot of good points...the access to the station!...but make sure you avoid the basement if at all possible.

Perfectly Fine for the money!! Amazing Location!!
Great location! In the middle of Sinchon and one stop from Hongdae. The TV and the bed are really big. The bed is comfortable and the heater and a/c are fine. The bathroom is fine as well. This room is perfectly fine for individual travelers 1-2 people looking to rest, watch TV, and sleep. I stayed here for 1 full week and I will DEFINITELY return if I go back to Seoul.

The hotel is old. Water from tap is murky but the hotel only provides 2 bottled water for each room no matter how long you are staying there. Wont recommend this place though the staff are nice and helpful.

The place is at a good location near the airport stayed there due to late flight to Incheon Airport. Terrible condition though too shabby and room too small. Luckily it was only a night's stay.

Room was comfortable, thr tv was nice and staff was super friendly and spoke English. The cons were the room was cold due to old windows but you can ask for a space heater. Also the power went out often but more an annoyance than anything. Not really the hotels fault.

Mosquito Attack!
Honestly, barring our mosquito issue, this hotel would have received a 4/5 review from me--for the price, it's fine, although it could be a little cleaner. However, our window did not close all the way. This wasn't an issue for temperature, as it wasn't too cold yet in late October. However, I noticed a few mosquitos the second night. Even though I put on bug spray that night, I found 10 bug bites in areas I missed, or in places where the mosquitos had bitten before I applied bug spray (three of which were on my face!). My partner, who declined the bug spray, fared much worse. He awoke with 20 or so bug bites... I know this can't be the first time a traveler has been bitten in that room, because I found a smushed mosquito corpse on the wall, and the bed sheet had a small blood stain on it. I notified the staff, and hopefully they will address the issue. I'm a little skeptical--they were apologetic, but didn't say they would take action--but let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Advice: if you are going to stay at the WS Sinchon, carefully inspect your room upon arrival. If you see an unclose-able and unscreened window and/or evidence of mosquitos, ask to be relocated to a different room. If they refuse, feel free to site this review, ask for a refund, and go to a different hotel! I wish we had noticed when we first checked in.

Located withing 5 min walk from Sinchon station Exit 8. Staff could speak english and chinese. Room appeared to be cleaned daily however sheets did not get changed. Room smelt like cigarette smoke although no smoking was allowed. Possibly previous guest has unethically smoked in the room. Sinchon is a fantastic area to find restaurantes and korean style bars. Very alive at night for though who are jetlagged.

1st and 2nd time in Ws Hotel
My first visit to Ws Sinchon hotel was ok. The hotel managee Hyun is very friendly in helping us with all of our luggage. The room was quite small. But after a few days we got use to it. Everything is good especially the bed as it was so comfortable it is hard to get up in the morning. However the smell from the toilet is quite disturbing. The second time i stayed in Ws Sinchon hotel was 1 week later. The room we got is so much more bigger than the previous one. I was quite happy with the size as it is more worth the money. Overall i reallly like staying in Ws sinchon hotel because of the convenience of having a convenient store in just 1 min walk away and 3 min from subway station. Love the location as it is located in the middle of Ewah University and Hongik University. Would totally love to stay here again

WS HOTEL SINCHON REVIEW
Location was great! Convenient, very close to the subway station. Surrounding neighbourhood are full of eateries and street stalls. But my room was unclean, with spiders and cockroach! The bathroom was Tiny! You have to shower standing between sink and toilet bowl with little room to move.

Small room but convenient
We stayed for 5 nights, enjoy easy access to all the places we wanted to go via the subway which is close-by. The tradition home-like restaurant just around the corner has the best hot rice pot. We visited the women university by walking in less than 30 minutes.

It is a 3mins walk from sinchon subway station, exit 8. The staff are friendly and helpful. Some of them are able to speak in mandarin and Japanese. The room is generally clean. However, I hope that they could have replenished bottles of water everyday. Nonetheless, you can request from them for the water too. The room can be a little noisy as the wall are not solid Cement wall. You could be affected if there are noise outside especially staying on the basement.

Stayed here for two weeks. Cheapest accommodation in the area we could find with facilities we wanted. Helpful staff and comfortable room. Rooms are on the small side (especially the bathroom) and the building seems pretty old so don't expect anything fancy but the room was pretty clean and comfortable. Definitely would stay here again as very cheap and good service plus the great location.

Nice and friendly hotel near subway n universities
Location is near to Sinchon subway. Service of staff is super tho it is only one staff. Friendly and helpful and best of all, able to communicate in English. Cleanliness is perfect as towels are changed daily unless not required and instructed by guest. Only flaw is the bathroom size a little too small n narrow. Given the amount paid, this level of discomfort is endurable. Definitely a place I will stay again should I visit South Korea next time.
