the location was east find and there were a lot of places where you can dine. the room was basic and worth it to the price. although the ff are my comments: 1. suggest to have a more comfortable pillow as it is to thin, it would have been better if they provided 2 2. the towels are small, you can only use it once. however, they have provided towels for replacement near the elevator. 3. the bathroom has black molds on it, i think it was not properly/ thoroughly cleaned. 4. it would have been better to at least provide an english channel or at least subtitles for the korean networks.

The hostel is very close to the metro stations. Plenty of resyairants around the hostel. The male reception staff was very helpful in giving guidance to every destination I asked. He even printed out the information of the Namta show and direction to the Nanta theatre for me. Thanks a lot for his kindness. However the breakfast is very basic for the price we paid.

The staff was warm and friendly! They helped us out with everything that we needed. The amenities were okay, nothing great but enough for our stay. The location was one of the best attractions of this place. Restaurants surrounded the area and it was near many areas we wanted to visit. Would stay again!

Overall experience was OK. Just minor glitches like warm water pressure wasn't consistent (low pressure and cold water in between showering in the morning), missing air-con remote control (couldn't get the assistance because I went out early before they started working and I came back late and they were off duty). Last day, the TV in the room is not working, not sure why.

Convenient location!
The GH is close to all places known to foreign tourists; Insadong, Gyeongbuk Palace, Gwanghwamun, Deoksu Palace, City Hall, Cheongyecheon, Myeongdong, Namdaemun, Dongdaemun and even Namsan Tower! Trust me I arrived just at check in time and finished toured all mentioned places in one afternoon. Nearest stations are Jonggak and Euljiro 3-ga! Staffs were great, helpful and friendly! They hv everything but be prepared, rooms are very small! it's normal in Seoul so book a room that fits ur luggage, I booked bunk bed room and barely could fit 2 medium sized carriers. Everything was enough for us and would recommend anyone to stay here!

Great value for money in a fantasitc location
A fantastic place to stay. The staff were excellent, and very helpful. The breakfast was adequate. Unfortunately the bed was a bit hard for my liking. The nightlife was a bit noisy if you were looking to get to bed early, but not enough to stop you from getting a good night sleep. The location was unbeatable, and great value for money. I would return.

You Get What You Pay For
For the price this hostel is a convenient walk from many tourist attractions and offers a clean environment. Breakfast is simply toast and milk, but it's enough to tide you over until you head out to explore Seoul and it's numerous coffee shops. One note, the building does have it's creaks and sounds so if you are extra sensitive to noise at night, you may want to find a newer, quieter building.

Suitable for backpackers or budget travellers
It's a good place if you only need a place to sleep so for backpackers and young people I believe it's great. However, compared to love motels I wouldn't call it 'comfortable' (I lived and worked in Korea for a few years when I was younger and stayed at many love motels, I also lived in a tiny office-tel for my first job); I stayed in a single room and I only slept well when I was drunk (as the bed was very uncomfortable and hard). The room also wasn't that well ventilated but it was quiet (which is remarkable considering the location). I wouldn't recommend this place if you have loads of luggage or are a couple/have children (I travel light). The room does however have good wi-fi, a TV, air-conditioning and an adequate bathroom (but no separate shower space, this however isn't unusual in north-east Asian hotel rooms from my experience). There's also free toast and coffee from 8am-10am (or there's Holly's Coffee, Subway, Burger King, KFC, McDonald's, Taco Bell and lots of other places downstairs along with a GS25 convenience store). It's also very close to Jonggak (exit 12 is very close) and Jongno 3 ga subway stations on line 1. The 6002 bus from Incheon Airport also stops nearby. The Nami Island tour bus and Seoul tourist bus stop are also close. Overall, like I say it's a good place for budget or younger travellers (or if you're teaching English in the Korean countryside, it's a good place to just sleep on Friday/Saturday nights).

Didn't stay there for 5 minutes, very claustrophobic couldn't stay there, short term 1 night but not for 2 weeks. Was smaller than photos showed. Wouldn't give me my money back, had paid in full for 2 weeks I went to K Guesthouse not far away, cheaper,nicer, cleaner, much more family Cliental. Not young teens quieter Cliental. Do t think I was treated well at all

Not for an elderly traveler
Very clean and convenient place. However, I would not describe it as comfortable. My problem, I'm sure. But I'm too old to sleep on on inch pads on a wooden surface, and to sit on the floor, which is the only option if you want some privacy. For a young backpacker, its a great place. But if you're retired and traveling the world, spend a little more and save your back. However, the staff went out of their way to help me find and visit a clinic, and get the medicine I needed. That was a huge plus!

There are good and bad at the same time. Good 1. Location, the guesthouse located close to the subway. 2. I stayed in a single room with shower so it was convenient for me to take a shower. 3. There is G25 shop under the guesthouse you can go anytime when you are hungry. Bad 1.The wall of the room is so thin, I can hear everything the next room was doing and sometimes it was so loud. One night I needed to knock their door and asked them to keep their voice low (I couldn't get some sleep) at 1.30 am. there was no staff there to handle. 2. Breakfast I would say NOT GOOD NOT BAD because I didn't have breakfast I have no idea how it looks like. 3. The towel, they give you the small one (for face) and there is NO big one. Then after taking a shower you suppose to use that small one instead. 4. There is NO free water.

Was a very good stay in an excellent area with friendly staff. Room temperature was quite hot as the AC was turned off in the building and room could have been cleaned more frequently but overall very good for the price.

24 Guesthouse Experience
Well first off, if you are not used to being in tight spaces then this hotel is not for you. But for those that are on the other note this is a great place to stay if you are on a budget and don't need much. I would recommend bringing your own wash cloth and bath towel and shower shoes. The towels that they had to dry off were more like hand towels and no wash cloth. You should probably bring your own soap too. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but I still was able to sleep a little. Now that I think about it, one should bring there own pillow too. Other than that he hotel was in a great location. You had lots of restaurants within a 30sec walk. And the subway and bus stop was a like a min walk from there. In just the Insadong area there was plenty to eat, see, and do. The community kitchen is great as well. They have a nice coffee machine and they provide you with cereal and milk, cup of noodles, white bread and jelly, but for some reason they were missing peanut butter. If you don't like eating those things for breakfast you can always bring oatmeal and like I did and heat it up or cook your own breakfast.

Very friendly staff! Even though there was a fun and bustling neighborhood just outside the building, my room was very quiet. Close to both Insadong and Gwangjang Market. I will definitely stay here again.

Convenient Guesthouse near Insadong shopping
This was the second 24 Guesthouse I stayed in while I was in Seoul, it was very simple but very conveniently located. Downstairs is a convenience store that I went to often for snacks and drinks. Directly around the guesthouse is a vast array of Korean and Japanese restaurants, cafes and much more. Within a 5 min walk is the main street of Insadong and another 10 min walk down that is Gongbukgang Palace. I had a single room which was big enough for me to relax in but to some it may seem cramped. There was a bathroom in the room and there was a free breakfast of toast and ramyun 8am-10am on the floor below. Really my only complaint was that outside was a little noisy in the streets at random times up to 4am and the walls are VERY thin so if the people in the other room are moving around or talking you will hear them. The people at the front desk are very nice and are able to speak enough english to communicate. They will do your laundry and return it to you for a small fee as well.

Not really disabled access friendly as several small entryways to enter the builidng = there is a lift that is 24 hour operation but steep ramps up exiting lifts to room level. No cleaning of rooms unless you ask - there is a basket of fresh towels, toilet paper, kettles at floor entry which is great. Messaged several times before arrival re access etc as i am currently in wheelchair - my daughter checked us in before i arrived and bed was almost floor level with no access for me and they kindly reassigned a room with a higher bed. Basic room with shower/toilet unit, bar fridge, air con and TV. Neigbhbourhood huge range of eateries (not that many accessible to wheelchair sadly) - walking distance to Myeongdong, Gwanghwamun, Jogno and so much more. Subway access good. Great central location for a tourist visit.

This hotel was a great base for our week in Seoul. The area directly surrounding the hotel had lots of great places to eat (a little more expensive than other areas of the city as the area is popular with Chinese tourists, however if your on a tight budget take a five minute walk in any direction and you will find cheaper options). 15-30 minutes walk from the hotel and your in Myadong in one direction and Insadong in the other. As a whole the area has great transport links, its easy to get too and from the airport via coach and areas such as Hongdae are a short tube ride away. The hotel itself was clean and comfy. There's free filtered water machine's on evey floor and you can help yourself to tea and coffee from the kitchen all day long. The only issue is that the bathrooms are separated from the bedrooms by translucent glass, so if you sharing a room one of you might want to step out of the room whilst the other uses the bathroom.

This is in the heart of insadong. 20 mins walk from all the palaces and major markets. The request for checkin 1 hour early was denied which was quite disappointing. Frontdesk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed my stay very well!
I booked a single private room from this guesthouse because of it's affordable price and central location. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I wanted a private room and bathroom at a cheap price and this guesthouse fulfilled that. The room was quite small but manageable. What I really loved about this place is that there's a TV and a mini fridge in it despite being a guesthouse with a small room. Also, I'm truly grateful for the location. A lot of tourist destinations are within a walking distance. A lot of restaurants and entertainment venue just outside the guesthouse, and even the "Youth Plaza" or food street within 2 minutes walk. Cheonggyecheon stream is 5-10 minutes walk, so you can easily go there in the morning. Subway/Transportation is also a big plus since it's a minute walk from Jonggak station and 5-10 minutes walk to Jongno-3ga station which has 2 transfer lines. After going out in the morning, I can easily go back to the guesthouse to recharge my energy or change clothes if i want to and then head out again for another adventure. I find the location very convenient for touring around. I have stayed at another guesthouse and hostel around Seoul but by far this one is the best. Other places don't offer a TV or a mini fridge or at least an extra towel, and they are even more expensive than this guesthouse. I would definitely book and stay at 24 Guesthouse again if I get a chance.

When you pay this little, you temper your expectations. Mine were far exceeded. It's like an upscale hostel. Rooms are clean. Staff was really helpful and spoke english fairly well. They'll do your laundry for a small sum. They lent us a 110 to 220 adapter. Drinking water is just down the hall. Small fridges in rooms, plus a large fridge which guests can use. We did not take advantage, but there was DIY toast, cereal, and coffee available in the mornings. Having said all that, the best thing about this place was the location. It's only a block from the river walkway, within moderate walking distance or short subway rides from all the major Seoul tourist attractions, and right in the middle of a block of restaurants and bars (but you couldn't hear the noise from your room).

The room was extremely small for family room. It said it could fit 5 people (2 bunk beds and 1 extra bed), but if you use the extra bed then you don't know where to open your luggage. There is no service for cleaning your room, you have to throw your trash every single day. The kitchen is also very small, only 3 seats, you have to eat your breakfast in your room if there is someone else in the kitchen. But the hotel is near the tourist attraction, like gyeongbokgung, insadong, and myeongdong.

Very clean, very secure, nice facilities, superb staff, awesome price! The location is excellent, just 1/2 block south of Insadong-il (nice little tourist shopping district), and a short/pleasant walk from the main palaces. To/From airport, just take the Metro from Jonggak station to Seoul Station, then to airport (reverse when arriving). The station is a short walk (5 min) to the hotel. You can also easily walk to Cheonggyecheon (creek) and south to the major shopping area of myeongdong from here.

Very Good Location!
This place is very near from most place special y main Insadong Street and walkable to Buk-Chon. We had a Triple Room which is clean and clean bed sheets but very small that we don't have much space for our luggages and so small we can not even move much. Hotel Staff was very kind. Breakfast kitchen is so small only 2 or 3 people can stand at time and there is only juice and bread and jam. Even the bread was run out. There was nothing to eat after 5, 6 people ate them. Hall way is so narrow and they hang the laundry at the hall way (which doesn't look good) and smell like rotten water. Towel smells. I don't much recommend for family travelers because lots of young men (maybe employees from surrounding restaurant and bar) hang out and smoking at the entrance of guesthouse.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The wifi was great and the staff was very friendly. It was very convinient that they had laundry onsite and that they could book your tours. The only downside is that the beds and pillows are very hard.

The perfect hotel
This hotel was perfect. The rooms was small but that's expected at this price point. The bathrooms did seem to cause the rooms to smell but opening the window helps or grab some air freshener at the store downstairs. This was located in a very lively neighborhood all times of day. There was a lot of American fast food places near by, but good shopping. Some rooms have washer machines and the staff will let you use theirs free of charge. The breakfast is just milk and bread but every room does have a small mini fridge. The wifi worked perfectly and the staff spoke perfect English. This hotel looked and felt very new. For safety the elevator locks up at night so be prepared to take steps after 12:00am.

My stay at Jongno 24guesthouse is memorable. The staff there are helpful when we needed help to get to places. Always smiling when answering our enquiries. The room of the guesthouse is very clean, though small, but it has all the necessities. The guesthouse is also located near the MRT station, so everywhere is practically accessible. I will come back to 24guesthouse again. Definitely.
