The property is located directly across the street from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Clean, the staff is nice, rooms are older, but well kept. Will definitely stay again.

My son and I stayed here for a weekend and went to the Boardwalk everyday. The walk is just a couple minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. I even left behind a few items and they mailed them back for me. I did try to use the ac at one point and I don't know if it was my error or if it just wasn't working, but I did not notify anyone to let them know because I just opened the window and got a nice breeze in. With the window opened, it can be very loud. As soon as you close it though, you don't hear anything anymore. I was on the third floor and they do not have elevators but the stairs were easy enough. We had a great time and would totally stay there again .

Friendly check in and given a nice room when asked for an open window. Clean and quiet and right by the pier so easy to walk around and see the light house as well. Good affordable weekly rate. The room was comfortable.

Booked this property last min for a weekend getaway a week prior to arrival. Surprised by the 3 bed option in a 2 bedroom setup right across the way from the boardwalk! There are 2 queens with one full in spare bedroom that is like a cubic space with a window & mirror. Had a couple moveable end tables which was nice. The room itself was a good size & we didn’t feel on top of each other as much. Bathroom was clean but prepare to bring toiletries as they only offer a built foam hand wash & body wash in shower. Bring a hair dryer if needed. They have a coffee maker as well but you have to grab the coffee from the lobby, along with tea & not much other condiments. This place is old & they just smacked on a coat of paint with a few wall decals & paintings. The beds were ok but squeaky with minimal sheets but they had a heater as it was colder during our stay. No extra blankets. Room could’ve used a doormat inside the room. No elevator so if you have any issues with stairs, then request bottom level. They have 3 levels. The rooms near the 2nd level hall stairway can hear the rear parking gate slam shut constantly & it’s really loud. Curtains also don’t fully provide privacy. We had to move them around a bit & add some weight on them to keep shut. Staff was nice but didn’t need them as much. I would probably recommend mainly for location & feasibility to the boardwalk. At least we didn’t have to pay for parking. I didn’t see they had a pool either.

We liked how close it was to the boardwalk. The bed was comfortable , but too soft if that makes sense. People were very noisy at night. Next time we come to Santa Cruz, we will stay somewhere else. The room was very clean though and heater and AC worked great.

We were the only ones for 2 nights on our 3 night stay On checking in wr asked for 2 beds instead of 1. Cost $30. After 1 night our t.v. broke so they made us switch room. Took us half hour. Pet fees for 2 dogs 3 nights $130 Clean rooms but could use upgraded. Wouldn't stay again

We stayed in the family suite with the kitchen. It was the perfect size for our family of 5. We really enjoyed the location of the property… it was so close to the beach, Boardwalk and wharf…. Very walkable. The staff is amazing. Everyone was very nice. We definitely would stay here again.

This little gem is CLEAN and comfortable and painted really cute. It is right on the far side of the Boardwalk parking lot, and we could see the rides, and hear the screams from our room. We would definitely stay here again. its no-nonsense, but really clean and cute!

Pros:The people working there are nice. I arrived very late and they called me to ask my ETA and explained to ring a bell, which was nice. Stay here if you need to crash at a safe place with safe parking across the board walk and you are on a budget. Cons:The place is very dated. Even if they clean up it looks bad. If you are looking for comfort look elsewhere. The linens feel like paper, no fabric softener.

Online I thought it was going to be a good motel but upon arrival we noticed out door didn’t close all the way and that it was rotted and rusted. Then when we got ready for bed at about midnight we noticed something on our 6 year olds bed. There was what looked like blood stains and dirt and when we brought it up to the front desk they refused to give us a refund. We ended up leaving a night early after we had already booked the reservation and they would not allow us to have our refund. We had MULTIPLE Expedia agents speak to the manager and when they would call me back after speaking with the manager they would mention how rude and uncaring they were about the situation and absolutely refused even though I had photos of the condition and unsafe room we were in. My fiance had gone down to speak to the manager and he had completely dismissed us and ignored us. I will say as someone who worked for motels for years this was beyond unprofessional and the room definitely was the worst condition I had ever seen. Choose anything else if possible.

Dear Guest, We were never mentioned about this by you until we had a call from Expedia. They called us at around 2 pm about getting a full refund for your stay. At that time you still had your belongings in the room and hadn't yet checked out of the room or removed your belongings. It made no sense to give a refund as you were still using the room and it was well past check-out time. If you had checked out at 11 am we could have refunded the second night, but again we were not mentioned about this until we got the call from Expedia. When your husband came into the office he didn't mention anything and just said you were checking out early. There was no mention of any of your complaints. When you called about your deposit, you didn't mention anything either. We are always happy to help people and make their stay more enjoyable, but avoiding to mention any complaints to us makes it harder for us to help guests out. We are always transparent and willing to help out, but we didn't dismiss any complaints as you didn't mention any of these to us and only now mentioned them through a review. Regards, Aqua Breeze Inn
