“A great place!”
great place, great breakfast...the only place to stay while visiting UCSB.

Although located close to a high way, this hotel offered peaceful respite.
“Visiting the college kids”
With a son attending UCSB, this hotel is very close to campus and to his home in Isla Vista. We really like the convenience of the breakfast in the morning so we don't have to find a restaurant and parking first thing in the morning.

Quality hotel with helpful staff. Nice breakfast although seating was a little difficult. Only slight knock was we didn't love the beds, sheets weren't great. Nice TV. I would stay again, the positives far outweigh the slight negative.

“Santa Barbara's Best Value”
Some Best Western hotels can be scetchy. This one is by far the BEST I have ever stayed in. It was priced right and provided a nice, clean, and comfortable place to stay. I will not bother looking elsewhere, when in Santa Barbara, I will be staying at the Best Western South Coast Inn.
“Very nice and beautiful convenient setting”
Good location to major highway and convenient to downtown Santa Barbara. Clean and well landscaped motel. Rate was very good for that area of California.
“Front desk people were great!”
I had booked Saturday-Sunday rather than Friday-Saturday. They made the change and allowed me to stay in a suite Friday and the booked room on Saturday for no extra cost. The beds are very comfortable, the pool is great, breakfast was very satisfying. I'll stay there again!
“Perfect for UCSB visits”
Stayed 2 nights for UCSB orientation, it's close to the school (about a 5 minute drive), decent little breakfast with good coffee, clean room with a pillow top mattress provided a good night's sleep. I'm sure I will return whenever needing an overnight in the area.

The hot breakfast included was excellent. The patio seating was beautiful.
