"A little of attention to detail to make this cottage feel like it still belongs to the 19th century, but full of luxurious like a big spa bath, coffee machine, hidden away tv, super luxurious bed and bedding, reasonably priced drinks in the fridge, and a beautiful spots out front and to the rear to enjoy the beautiful gardens and the quiet surroundings. "My 8year old grand daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.We took home prepared meals which we cooked or reheated as needed.The location was great to explore attractions on the Tasman Peninsula without driving for hours.June was always very helpful. A wonderful few days enjoying mother nature. I would not recommend for people who struggle with steps or those with toddlers as the bedrooms were upstairs.All spotlessly clean and well maintained. "

The cottage was very clean, beautiful designed, and the little touches left for guests by the host were very much appreciated. We were so sad we only booked it for a night. Our dog didn't want to leave either. Thank you for a WONDERFUL home away from home."

"The house is close to the Sandy Bay shops and restaurants and many of Hobart's iconic places. It has everything you need. For us, the bed was a little too firm but our son found the bed in the second bedroom very comfortable, so a matter of personal taste. The host was very accommodating."

"The host was very welcoming and explained everything to us as we were guided to our accomodation. What a lovely surprise, a deck to view the rolling hills and river from, step inside this 1840 exquisite building and first thing that greets you is a cask of port with enough in it for 6 tipples sitting on that lovely deck (which also has a bbq btw). The bed was amazingly comfortable and the area is very peaceful. The host also suppies the many books he has written and published and he has copies...

"Perfect place to be honest, one of the best place I have ever stayed in Hobert, near to shops and restaurants, not too far from the iconic and historic places, great staff in the front desk, and the best thing is they are there 24/7, you will have no stress of checking in late or coming home late in the night with no keys haha, By the way building is no smoking to be prepared to go out for smoke, also parking is available downstairs $20 per night or they can organise for you down the block for $17 a night Over all our stay was pretty good, love it. I will definitely be coming back. "
