"I saw some reviews of people that had bad experience this year but for me it was start to finish just marvelous. I made sure on Expedia I bought a room with an ocean view which is wonderful but of course it's several blocks from the ocean, but it's way better than the freeway view. There's coffee in the room and it's about a 5-minute walk from the main drag the Avenue Del Mar in San Clemente where there's all Shops and restaurants, and it's about a 5-minute walk from the bagel shack. and I didn't use the pool or any other amenities but I slept in a beautiful clean spacious room with a big beautiful clean bathroom and just completely enjoyed myself in the town and in the facility with a wonderful kind multilingual staff and just overall excellent excellent experience. I think I got free parking by purchasing through Expedia and I'm not sure if there would have been a parking charge; I didn't really check that in detail. In any case I didn't pay for parking by booking through Expedia I believe. Probably worth checking for sure if you book here."

"Was a guest at this hotel for what was originally 4 nights but only ended up staying 3, the stay here has been terrible. We were originally in room 100, but later switched to room 101 due to the condition of the first. However the conditions were the same in the second room. First, The bed is extremely uncomfortable, it’s covered in this plastic material that is not removable. Due to the material of the bed you basically stick to it like you’re sleeping on some leather couch. The pillows on the bed are small square pillows which are usually considered throw pillows not bed pillows. Second, There are holes in the wall with rust/mold, the shower was also broken in multiple places, the smoke alarm wasn’t attached to the wall fully, and the a/c circulation is horrible. The last night we were there we asked for more pillows for the bed and for more towels after which I was called at 10:30pm by the manager threatening to kick us out because I dared complain about the quality of our stay. He had the nerve to say “ I did you a favor by letting you use card for the deposit when we require cash”. Their ATM was out of service so idk if it was actually a “favor”. Probably just inconvenient for them to have us leave at 1:30 am to go find an ATM then come back to check in. Stay away from this hotel like the plague. Hotel rooms are disgusting (i.e rust/mold) and the staff is completely unprofessional and rude. Definitely the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had."
