“Just functional”

I took a road trip from Abilene (where I live) to San Antonio to see my boyfriend graduate BMT at Lackland AFB. Because I was surprised at how soon the graduation had gotten, I looked for short-notice hotel rooms. I would have been staying at the La Quinta except I am not 21 yet, their required age to check-in. The Knights Inn has a lot of tourist sites near it, but it was at least a 35 min. drive from the base. I was generally satisfied with the room, seeing as it was much cheaper than my budget. It was not particularly well taken care of or well built, but it was clean and functional. My only complaint is that when I left the hotel at about 7 AM after my stay, the office was locked and closed so I could not check out, which had to be done by 11 AM. I was greatly inconvenienced and had to drive back. I lost over an hour I could have spent doing what I traveled there to do and a lot of gas. Other than that, there was not noise or sanitary issues and I slept well.

“A yes and a no”

You get what you paid for. It's not a great one but a simple, average quality hotel for a one night stay or two but definitely not more than that! And definitely a no no for family with kids.

“Dirty but Cheap”

There was a dirty diaper and a dirty shirt in the drawer. But it was quiet and cheap. What do you expect for price. I wouldn't go there for romance.

“Best for economical trips”

Economical hotel, worth for the money. But we asked for an extra sofa bed which they could not give, for which we paid to expedia.

“CRACK HOTEL!!!”

Well we drove 14 hours and really had no other choice but to stay. We had 2 rooms and one was not cleaned at all my mother in law had to clean it her self because it was too late to get anyone to clean it. in the other room the shower was broke, there were cops there almost every night. we even had some lady ask us if we knew where she could score some crack. WOW never again!!!! just spend the extra money to stay somewhere more pleasent rather than trying to be cheap. It was a convienent location to ft. sam houston where we going to.
