Terrible booked for two night end it up staying away. Lost my money and owner refuse to refund. The smell is awful check under the sheets and you will find dirt. Thank you for the bedbugs.

Where to start; dirty room, dead bugs on floor, and some live ones coming in through the space where the door had been forced open and the wood mangled. Cobwebs with enormous spiders in the room entrance and even the entrance to the lobby, horrible smell, sheets stained with what looked like blood, carton instead of window on nearby room, trash piled behind the dumpster. We were unable to stay and turned in the key. Reusting refund. Pix to post

The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was tight but clean. The breakfast was amazing! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The bathroom was old and tub was rusted out. The tub would not drain properly. There were bugs in the bathroom. The curtain in the room was so long it covered the AC vent. Had to anchor it to keep it from billowing out all night. Bed was hard with no padding. Very uncomfortable. They promised a home cooked breakfast that unfortunately was not ready before we had to leave.We moved to a nearby town the next day to a Hampton Inn that was very nice and it was as cheaper to stay there. Don’t book a room here.

Breakfast was great. The room reeked of smoke. So bad that I had to keep my clothes in the car to keep them for smelling like smoke. The room and especially the bathroom had not been updated in decades. The paint was worn off of the toilet seat.

Not what you read...BEWARE
Room did not look like the picture on hotel.com what so ever. Walked into the room with the very strong pungent smell of cigarette smoke. The bedspreads and blankets had large stains on them, the sheets and pillows had hair on all of them. The motel room was on the first floor and the widow did not lock. The entrance door knob was loose, no dead bolt, no additional safety lock. Put a chair under the door knob trying to help secure the door. Used the rod from the bathroom towel rack in the window. Heard rocks being thrown at the window thruout the night. Multiple knocks on the front door thru the night. Unable to sleep due to the terrible headache from the smoke and not feeling safe. No other rooms in the area available due to festival occurring. Office hours listed 0730-2200 according to listing on hotel.com website. Went to office at 0810 and the office was closed. Rang the intercom and the manager refused to come speak in person, he did not want to hear complaints, he told me to speak to the cook and hung up. The cook was a very kind lady and said she would give a refund if she could but doesn't have access. She said the room I stayed in smells the worst of cigarette smoke due to an extended stay customer who smoked in the room. Horrible experience, do not stay at this motel!!!!

Breakfast was the very best part of our stay at the Schooner Bay Motor Inn. Kelly, the cook, makes wonderful frittatas and quiches, blueberry bread pudding and she can bake up a storm, the pistachio muffins were spectacular! The owner was very help us in directions for the various attractions and the best place to park for the Lobster Festival! Plus, winery's with fantastic views and restaurants. Enjoyed all the spots he recommended! On the minus side, while clean, the rooms are old, flooring worn and in dire need of updating.

Great Inn
What a fantastic place to stay! No complaints at all. And then so surprising with the breakfast in the morning. Not just coffee and donuts but a full spread of all kinds of goodies. The lady responsible for that breakfast deserves an awful lot of credit.

The buffet breakfast was OUTSTANDING! At the back of the building old metal mattress frames and other not-yet trashed items distracted from the rest of the property.

A very very dirty motel! I paid over 250.00 for a single night. Towels were worn and fraying on the ends, smelled of strong cigarettes but said non-smoking, old very outdated and broken shower, dirty feeling overall. Loud smokers on balcony at 2:00 am.

Not a chain hotel
It was refreshing to stay in a familyowned motel that was not part of a chain. Our second stop here. Even though it is in need of updating, the rooms are comfortable and the staff so pleasant. A welcomed change was the home cooked breakfast and fresh muffins not wrapped in plastic!! The quiche was delicious.

We arrived and the room they gave us reeked of cigarettes,supposedly non-smoking. I go down and ask for another room, I was sent to one with a smaller bed and slightly smelling of cigarettes. I found out the rooms had all been rented to homeless and they didn't care about no smoking. There were still homeless staying there without paying. Rooms were rundown and filthy. The tub was dirty, corners,and doors dirty. The bathroom was had smudges of stuff all over them. The sink didn't drain and there was only one bulb in the light fixture. The curtains didn't block out the lights outside of the window because they only covered half of the window. Soda nachine was broken and the ice machine was outside with the ice scoop left in the ice bin(no gloves provided). The second day the bed was made and towels changed. No new soaps left and the tub still not washed, the fly I killed was still on the bottom of it. If I had not paid an absorbent amount for the room ahead, with no refunds, I would have left and NEVER stayed here. They must be charging extra to pay for the freeloaders living there.

Very clean comfortable despite the excessive outdoor temperature. We found the air conditioner already on and the room was wonderfully cool when we entered. Easy parking onsite, easy pleasant check in. The bed was comfortable, the hot water hot and the refrigerator cold. Kelly made a fabulous breakfast, Quiche with various fillings, muffins, bagels, juice, wonderful coffee, eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, cereal, delivered with a smile.

It was great they were very informative of different places to visit. They had a lady that cooked everything fresh and it was delicious. The room was always clean and it was all around a very nice place. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

Property was fine. Great home made breakfast. Expedia however, supposed to be a way to find something reasonably priced and available, charged me a new $200 fee for the reservation. I will not be using Expedia again

When I arrived, they could not find my reservation. The room I ended up in smelled very strongly of cigarettes. There were burn marks on the end table and stains in the tub. The breakfast was good.

Covered up smoke detector
The frig has been unplugged and had food rotten on the bottom, the tv remote control had no batteries, and the room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke since the smoke detector on the ceiling was covered by a plastic bag.

I was called day of stay that my room had difficulties and her was a self contained retro camper across street. I said as long as comfortable bad and ac it was ok. The bed was small and very uncomfortable and we did not sleep at all. The moisture and humidity inside was gross. I told staff next day how upset I was and was told I said it was ok. 225$ for a cmaper? I made reservations for 2 beds months ago.

I attempted to stay in room 21. When I tried to use the shower it wasn't operational. There was a stream of water coming from the shower valve, yes the valve, and the spigot. Could not divert water to the shower head. I was awoken by bed bugs. I googled bedbugs to verify because I had never seen them before. I left at 3am.

Great gem with FABULOUS breakfast
I asked for a quiet location and we got a gem of a room. We were upstairs and faced the back of the hotel which was located on a beautiful creek with a view of a lovely park! We could not have been happier. Very quiet. AND THE BREAKFAST!!! Absolutely sensational for a small hotel. 5 different quiches, home made baked goods, sausage, bacon, eggs, great coffee and the lady who did all of the cooking was there to serve you. Really special for a small motel. I would highly recommend this gem

Amazing free buffet breakfast
Don’t let the small and old looking reception area mislead you. The room looked modern and was furnished nicely with comfortable beds, very clean. The staff was nice. The free buffet breakfast was amazing! 4 Different kinds of quiches in addition to bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. Fresh blueberries mixed canned fruits. Homemade muffins with blueberries, chocolate, and pistachio. Will definitely stay at this motel if we come back to visit the area again.
