The popcorn ceiling had dust hanging from it. As soon as I took my foot out of my shoe in the hotel room I stepped in something sticky. The beds don’t have fitted sheets so by the time we woke up in the morning we were laying on the bare mattress (as the mattress “protection” is just a pad the put down and also isn’t fitted. Host at the front couldn’t answer how to catch the skyway to civic center and didn’t point out that there was a map on the counter… I ended up figuring it out and a host later told me about the map. It was just… okay. I’ve stayed in the Kahler Grand and it was WAY nicer AND connected to the skyways. The plus is that there’s a Caribou.

Old property feels like living in the 80’s again. Clean room, everyone polite and helpful. Very convenient if you’re going to the Mayo Clinic no need too go outside to get there.

Abhorrent noise levels outside. This location is EXACTLY across from the Mayo Clinic! The majority of their customers are likely Mayo Clinic patients! The UNNECESSARILY LOUD street traffic from motorcycles, pickup trucks, and illegal exhaust systems all resonate throughout the corridors of the tall Mayo buildings, making it impossible to get some rest. I've been to the Mayo clinic four times in the last six months and have NEVER once seen law enforcement present anywhere to address the chaotic displays in a HOSPITAL. Also bring your own cleaning and room deodorizer. The rooms ALWAYS smell horrible here. Management is NOT interested in your complaints!

Overall we had a great stay. The staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating. The CB3 restaurant there was also very good. Great food and friendly, efficient staff as well.
