“GREAT HOTEL!!!!!”

We had a fantastic time at Lunata. We loved everything about it. I am sure I will be staying again! If you are looking for a clean, well located, great staff, basic hotel, fair price, Lunata should be your hotel @ Playa. :o)

“A Pleasant Change of Pace”

If you are going to Playa del Carmen to lay around a pool, sit all day in the hotel bar, or restrict yourself to a hotel restaurant then Lunata Hotel is not for you. If you are going to Playa del Carmen and want a hotel to base your excursions from. Excursions such as snorkeling, diving, fishing, lying on the beach, swimming in the Caribbean, exploring Mayan ruins, shopping, and sampling the offerings of multiple cuisines then Lunata is definitely a good choice as your hotel. Lunata Hotel is a small hotel with clean, and comfortable air conditioned rooms. It is conveniently situated on 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen. Its decor is in the style of a classic hacienda. The ocean is a 3 to 5 minute walk away. Multiple restaurants are within 5 minute walks in either direction from the entrance. 5th avenue is a pedestrian only street that is safe to walk at any time of day or night and is a virtual paradise for shopaholics. A 10 minute walk to the south will get you to the ferries to Cozumel. One would be hard pressed to find a more courteous and helpful multilingual staff anywhere. They will skillfully arrange transportation and tours for you with a smile. After being subjected to the contrived elegance of all inclusive mega hotels, where one can stand in line for hours just to check in I found Lunata a pleasant change of pace and I will to go back.

“Great visit again.”

This was our second visit to PLaya Del Carmen and our second visit to Lunata. The staff is friendly and helpful and glad to give all kinds of tips on restaurants and sights. THe location was great for us, right on Fifth Avenue, 1 block from the beach and all the fun shops and bars just below and easy to get to. The hotel grounds are lovely and well kept and quiet with no little children when we were there. I recommend this hotel and will return again

“Grate Hotel on the 5 th Ave. of Playa del Carmen”

It's a grate value option, very nice, decoration was very well done, recreating the old Mexicans typical country houses. Every detail was care. One only thing to keep in mind, consequence of the grate design ( three levels with intermediate ones) if you are in highest floors an intense stair use will needed because has not elevator. Again grate option!

“Terrifc stay”

Great hotel. Fantastic breakfast, great location, terrific staff. Hot water showers with great water pressure. Internet access could be improved.

“Hacienda style Playa Del Carmen experience!”

Very helpful, friendly and engaging staff! Hotel has a deal with a nearby club to use the clubs beach area which is only a short walk away. It's just outside the popular 5 Aveneda pedestrian area was a bit noisy but double glass on balcony door helped keep noise level nearly reasonable. Earplugs guaranteed a good nights rest! Really enjoyed the hacienda style style and decorations of both the room and the hotel.
