"This accommodation was perfect for us. The room was modern and very clean, and we had access to a rooftop terrace which was perfect for a morning and afternoon picnic. The location is in the middle of Riomaggiore, with easy access to the train and many restaurants. Roberto was an excellent host, and very flexible, who gave us all kinds of information about the area. I highly, highly recommend this place if you are planning a trip to the Cinque Terre. "

"We loved Hotel Il Saraceno!! This beautiful and peaceful hotel in Volastra, high above Manarola is easily accessible by shuttle bus that runs almost continuously. We loved everything—the decor, the quiet, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the patio—but our favorite was Antonella, the proprietor. She is amazing! Her warmth, efficiency and charm are endearing! Plus, she speaks perfect English!"

"As all the other reviews have mentioned, the property is located on a hillside with spectacular views. Our room was for 3 people and the only view from the room was through the wooden blinds over a window. "

"So peaceful and quiet after visiting the Cinque Terre towns. Beautiful views, wonderful breakfast for a small cost, and comfortable rooms. I would stay here again for sure, would rent a car next time but we were able to get around using shuttles and trains to see the area. "

The check in office is located at a different location than the hotel making it very difficult to find. The hills are very steep and we were dragging our luggage around looking for the check in office. Some of the locals we asked did not know where it was and Google maps walking locator is wrong.
