"We recently stayed at the Longleaf Hotel and overall had a great experience. The property is very well maintained and beautifully updated while still paying homage to the hotel's original 1950s character and charm. The rooms and common areas felt thoughtfully designed, clean, and inviting.
My only real complaint was the check-in experience. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed when we arrived and came across as somewhat snippy and unpleasant. We arrived about 20 minutes before the official check-in time, and although our rooms were already ready, we were told there would be a $25 fee to check in early. Rather than pay the fee, we went out for coffee and returned at 3:00 PM.
Guests should also be aware that there is a $25 per night parking fee, despite parking being in the hotel's own lot.
Aside from those issues, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the unique blend of modern comfort and vintage charm that makes the Longleaf stand out."
