Got to the property after a long day around 8pm and was told by reception that I had no booking, even though I had paid for it 3 months prior to the stay. I had to find Expedia itinerary number and using this. they managed to find my booking and gave us a villa however it was dirty, it had no plates, bowls or utensils to enable us to have dinner. The main issue that was not negotiable was the fire alarm was sitting inside a cupboard and not fitted to the ceiling. The wiring / connection to the TV as just handing off the wall and look rather dangerous. I will never stay here again and will never recommend this place to anyone. The only positive for Dua Dua was the person who was at the reception.

The property is not being maintained as it should be. We were provided with only a bottle of complimentary water when it said two should have been provided, had to ask for one more ourselves. The rubbish bin lid in the room was broken. The door latch of the door onto the deck from the room was broken so couldn't even keep that door open to enjoy the breeze from the beach. Swimming pool was filthy with lot of sand and debris at the bottom of the pool

New very spacious clean villa with marble tiles ! Very quiet, peaceful soothing environment in village /farming seaside location ! Perfect place to relax !!! Best accommodation we had in Fiji in the 3 weeks tour !

We met with the owners who are very nice people who have worked very hard. The overall stay was excellent with the exception there were stains on the sheets and towels. After we told them, they changed it. But there were still stains on the sheets. I think the 3rd party who does the laundry are not doing very good job.

The resort had virtually no one there except the couple in the room next to ours. The walls were extremely thin. We could hear them talking most of the night. Their cell phone ringing, their alarm going off at 5 am. The resort should have put us in another villa since the place was empty.

Lovely part of Fiji and great views. A couple of minor issues with the room -TV not working and staff could not fix. Also wall to next unit was not at all sound deadening - suggest you modify this when outfitting the villas being constructed. Biggest negative was the track in to the resort which was in very poor condition and not really suitable for low clearance hire cars.

The road to Dua Dua was a dirt bumpy road that turned into a beautiful resort. Our room over looked the entire resort it was absolutely beautiful and was clean and tidy. The menu had plenty of options and the staff were nice and polite. Breakfast wasn't anything more than some toast fruit and a hot drink but as it was included with the room we were happy enough with what was offered. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Dua Dua resort and would happily go back again.

Bed linen smells musty and has that bacterial smell. Terrible. Shower not clean. No towels in room when check in. Had to phone for towels. No hand towel or face towel provided. Had to ask for them. Even then the staff only brought one hand towel.

Nice, relaxing, laid back feel. Room was big and clean, nice balcony with a great view. Activities organised by Jim are excellent - snorkelling trip was amazing ! Food is average but lots of options.

We were told to park down at the restaurant and not in front of our villa which had a very rocky and steep and long climb up the hill. We had $400 fjd stolen from my purse when we went swimming at the pool we had to call the police to come investigate next morning.Housekeeping staff walked into our room as she pleased while we were unloading luggage from our car. We got call from reception 5 hrs after we checked that the housekeeping supervisor (prime suspect in our money being missing) informed them that we had consumed a huge list of stuff from their in-room milkbar which was a lie because all the stuff was very expensive and my husband had brought Blitz icecream for all of us from downstairs at the hotel restaurant.

Very rude manager, can not enter or exit resort after 10pm. Bedsheets, pillow cases and towels had stains. Breakfast quantities are set once and if you are late then hardly any food is left, no refills are done. TV in the rooms are for display only, does not work. SAVE YOUR MONEY and Stay somewhere else. Management does Not know what good customer service is.

Meals at the bar and restaurant need to improve. Meal was cold and chef didn’t know how to prepare a ceaser salad. You don’t ketchup and supplement crotons with toast. Otherwise everything was fine. Would go back if they got a new chef.

There’s no parking near the villas. One has to park and walk up the drive away or use their cart but the cart is battery operated and it stops climbing the hill. We almost tumbled over. Eating facilitates & pool is down on the bottom so kinda little inconvenient going up and down. Or else peaceful quite place but no other activities on the premises.

Good budget hotel
It’s a good resort for the price. Road to the resort is not sealed and very muddy. Needs maintenance and services for disabled, as climbing up to the cabin was not easy. There doesn’t seem to be any good swimming beach. Take milk if you prefer that in your hot beverages as there’s only creamer supplied.

Nice place, but needs work
This was a beautiful location. The views were amazing. The beach was more of a gravel and not sandy. Swimming was ok, but make sure you wear water shoes as there was rocks and coral all over the place that could cut your feet. The rooms were very nice, but the walls were paper thin and we could hear the person in the adjoining room snore all night. The sound of the TV and talking could be heard in the neighbouring room too. It would be nice if there were stairs from the rooms down to the beach area as the road is difficult to walk due to rocks. The food was very good size portions, but most meals were below average in quality. The staff were good to deal with throughout the resort.

We checked in super late but they had our keys and everything prepped for us. Its in a remote location but thats what the Fijian taste is all about. We loved our Villa, the views from the room were just mind blowing showing us the open sea and the tiny islands. Mere at the SPA was just fantastic with her smile, great and customer service skills. We'll definitely be back in the future

What I liked: Beautiful and serene views, spacious and comfortable room, beautiful pool; friendly staff; easy check-in; free car park; raki raki town is close; 7 mins to Tanoa hotel What I didn't like: no reception number on the phone so didn't know which number to call; food delivery to the room taking too long; requested for your vehicle (buggy) to come up to load our bags when checking out - it was not communicated so had to stop the buggy on the trip up to tell to load our bags; poor utensil facilities - there was no wine glass; no plates; no cutlery - had to request for it; no lights from the main road to the motel- was difficult driving at night; should also improve gravel road to the motel; a sink/stove/microwave would have been convenient - it shows on your brochure but not there; your pricing for laundary is way too expensive - should charge by the load not by the number of garments; no tea towel provided; driveway from reception to the room needs improvement - I saved myself from falling a few times.

Staying at DuaDua is an experience like no other. Its peaceful away from the noisy places. Only a stonethrow away from Rakiraki town its a true hidden gem of Rakiraki.
