The owners were friendly and responsible, the room was clean and quiet.

“Convenient, cheap and clean”

I found the motel clean and comfortable and the manager very accommodating. I got there very late and he stayed up long into the night for even later arrivals. I did not stay for breakfast but he came out when I went to return the key and offered to make me "Indian tea" for breakfast and a muffin, or coffee if I wished. The motel has seen better days but it looked freshly painted & decorated, and only some irregularities in the shower tiles showed that the owners could use some professional plumbing help. The pool looked clean and inviting. The location was very good, much cheaper place than others in the area, and I will be returning again next year.

“Not going back, even if last hotel in Vermont.”

It was a 1 star at best......to lock door-could only use deadbolt, no screens on windows and they needed painting, rust in bathtub-from dripping faucet.... The air conditioner did work but was loud... When I went to check out there was no one around, I had paid so I left the key on desk. The 'breakfast' was purchased processed things from Walmart and we did not stay for that.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.It needs a lot of upgrading overall. Location is o.k. looking over the beatiful mountains in Pownal.
